I went to SF to visit an old friend who lives right across the street from the restaurant - I told her that I wanted to take her somewhere nice for dinner and she told me that there was no place she'd rather go in that wonderful city than Garibaldi's. So, we walked across the street and voila! Simply wonderful... More

Not really Very Good - but good - lots of interesting items - meze really - the potato meze was great and had a middle eastern bent as did the broccoli offering = Egyptian seasoning and quite good. The Cavatelli with ricotta, mint, pea pod not much flavor and ore like a stir fry-

I visited this place on a business trip with a client and colleague. The food was very good. We had a turkey breast club, a Milanese salad and a vegetable salad. The service was average - our waiter could have been more attentive. With a couple sport teas, our bill was $52.68 before tip. I'd visit again.

The food is outstanding. However, the noise level is - LOUD - especially on the weekends. If you go early on a weekday, you will likely have a quieter time. Near the JCC and in a nice area of SF without having to step over people on the street.

This is where the locals go in an upscale area. Good ambience. Nice menu. Carlos was an excellent server who even provided a recipe we asked about. Reservations are a must. Good place to celebrate a birthday, or just a nice night out.

It was walking distance from the hotel, the ambience was good and it had a nice bar. The food also was good.

We were recommended Garibaldi’s by our hotel (Hotel Drisco) for our New Years Eve dinner. Bad mistake! It started OK with drinks and the entrée, but after that it was downhill. The main course was an overcooked piece of meat (I asked for medium rare, but it was well done), and my daughters dish was two chunks of duck breast... More

Been there forever. Reminds me of so many places on NYC's upper East Side. Always busy. Reserve a table or seats at the the bar. Tables in the back room are a bit tight.

They say that 50% of a meal is atmosphere. The changes they have made really improved this dining experience. The "back room" is the place to sit. Cozy, private with great romantic lighting. The decor is now commensurate with the great food. Super!

We stopped by for just a glass of wine before dinner but stopped back to eat our interest being piqued by some of the more unusual offerings on the menu. As we so often find the starters were far more interesting than a lot of the main courses so we ate tapas style. A excellent riff on caponata was served... More
