Good dinner spot

We had a brief wait to get in here, definitely recommend calling ahead to reserve a table which I think they let you do when they are less busy. I got the fiery chicken which was delicious and the tea leaf salad was also great.

This place is excellent. For San Francisco the price is reasonable. It is a bit of a whole in the wall inside, the parking stinks. I still think its worth it to eat here. The salads were my favorite, very unique combinations of ingredients. The Tofu wasnt my favorite but the chicken dishes and the noodles were awesome.

This place gets tons of buzz and it is all warranted. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection; particularly liked my tofu dish and the tea leaf salad. Well worth the wait!!

Based on Tripadvisor reviews arrived 6PM sharp on a Monday night. Got in straight away but within minutes there was a queue outside so folks you had better believe all other comments about wait times as it is all true. Positives include good, super fast service, big menu and modest prices. Negatives for us was the cramped seating and relatively... More

6 of us on Saturday night. If you want to get in with the 1st wave when they open, make sure your whole group is there before opening. Several groups were turned away because the entire group wasn't there & they had to wait for the second seating in ~1 hour. We enjoyed the tea leaf & rainbow salads &... More

Dined here twice for lunch with a friend. Small, cozy, neighborhood place serving Burma cuisine. It is a very popular restaurant in SF. Irving Street has needed a really good restaurant and this one has a strong reputation and lives up to the reputation. Particularly liked the pumpkins soup and the vegetarian noodles. They do not take reservations, but we... More

We had been told by a local that we had to try Burma Superstar for a meal. It was out of the way for us and we were using public transportation, but on the way to the Disney Museum, we took the bus within a block of here. We waited in line at 1 pm about 15- 20 minutes. The... More

Yes it's true you will have to queue outside if you don't have a reservation but as a previous reviewer pointed out: there's a reason there's a line! The food is fresh and flavoursome and obviously made with great fresh ingredients a fragrant spices, it's a no pretence simple restaurant with very basic tables and chairs but with great food... First, the wait. We put our name on the list and was told we'd have a 30 to 45 minute wait. So we walked down the street and got some pork buns. Came back about 20 minutes later and still had a 40 minute wait. By the end, people were coming up and asking how long a wait for a... More
