Granted, this was my first experience with Burmese food, but this place was phenomenal. I strongly recommend the tea leaf salad and the chicken with yellow curry. Service was really attentive and friendly as well. Crowded? Yes. Did we wait a good while for a table? Yes. Was it worth it? YES. YES. YES.

Decided based on previous reviews to take 15min cab ride from fisherman's wharf, we were not disappointed the food and service was fantastic, recommend the chilli lamb and coconut rice. Only negative to say don't go for romantic evening you are in and very quickly.

Expect a wait. The place is small and stays busy. You will not regret your wait. You must have the coconut curry chicken soup. It's a big order so plan on sharing. The dreams changecken is the best I have ever eaten. Don't miss the coconut rice on the side. An excellent meal!

This place rocks. It's tiny, a bit out of the way, and worth any effort to get to. We waited 45 minutes on a Tuesday night to sit in a hot and cramped restaurant... and would happily do it again (wish it wasn't 2500 miles away). We shared Samusas, garlic noodles, the fried catfish curry, and two chicken dishes and... More

Very affordable and excellent food: what a combination. Located in the Richmond District, the restaurant can get crowded at peak dining hours. If you can swing it, get there early or stop by after 1:30pm for lunch to avoid the lines. The food has a wonderful variety of flavors and each dish is unique in its own way. Try the... More

Nice place, very tasty food, not to expensive I had the vegetarian samosas - quite flavorful and nicely crispy on the outside. Mint chicken very interesting flavors - mint, garlic, red and green chili peppers and something else (star anise perhaps). Unfortunately I went alone as there were lots of interesting things worth trying

I went to Burma Superstar on a recommendation from one of my co-workers. I would have to say this was one of my favorite meals on my trip. While it wasn't perfect, I did enjoy the meal. The Tea Leaf Salad was great and the Catfish Curry was amazing (just watch out for the bones). I would recommend calling ahead,... More
