Wasn't hard to get into - but we went at 5:30pm. Line was much longer by the time we left. The place isn't much to look at- either from the front or inside. Loud, tightly packed, no real decor to speak of. (And my buddy from San Fran says this was after renovation) But the food truly is amazing. I... More

We were visting friend in California and they took us to Burma Superstar for dinner. They kept mentioning that we might beat the rush since we went around 6:00 pm....boy were they right. As soon as we sat down, this place was packed in a matter of minutes, and i know why. The food is very good. The food is... More

We came at 450pm and sat on the bench and got a table straight away as you would expect. 45 mins later the restaurant was full. Tea leaf salad you have to get. Very fresh and tasty. The samosas were also great. We also ordered the calamari which was very tasty. The lamb curry was delicately spiced and tender. The... More

I thought tea leaf salad sounded quite odd, but it is the best green healthy thing I have ever eaten! My opportunities to visit the bay area are few, but I'll be going back to this place every time! Timing your arrival is probably key. We didn't have a wait in getting a table, but I couldn't believe the line... More

Came highly recommended by a friend and was absolutely worth the long wait. Food is yummy, authentic and flavourful. The plathas and curry were yummy. Interesting starters as well. The place is quite compact and fits in the maximum it can manage given the space. Don't get dithered by the queues outside it is a must try in Chinatown!

Waited on the bench outside for about 30 minutes before being shown into the very small dining room. Nothing too elaborate or fancy about this place - you enter through what looks like a shower curtain on a rail above the front door - but none of that matters when you taste the food. really fresh flavours which appear to... Ok, the wait was endless, over an hour for a party of 4 but man was it worth it! The food was delicious!!!! We tried a bunch of things on the menu and all of it was amazing. This is definitely a place worth waiting in line for! Try it, you won't be disappointed. The only disappointing thing for me... More

First time there the wait was estimated at 90 minutes. Therefore we returned early on a week day and the wait was 30 minutes. Enough time for a drink at a local bar. Outstanding food! Stand outs were the tea leaf salad, the chicken and prawn casserole and the basil chilli pork belly. Service was very good and great value... More

Had opportunity to eat twice here in last 15 days! The atmosphere is live and the food served is unique! Salad served is tasteful, giving feeling of eating something very healthy ! The main course has many options even for vegetarians and it's delicious! One may need to wait a while in the evenings and parking may be found after... More

We ate at Burma Superstar last week. We arrived before six, but had a half hour wait, so that should tell you how much the locals like this place. The restaurant is small and a bit noisy, but the food is outstanding and very well priced. We had lamb, shrimp, catfish, and a number of other dishes as there were... More
