Wow, everything we ate was phenomenal! Tea leaf salad! Eggplant with garlic sauce! A potato and curry dish... All amazing. Really kind wait staff as well. Very much worth the wait and the cost!

What a great little place! My son took me there for dinner the first night that I landed in SF and it was worth the wait. The food was hot, fast and great. Loved the Spicy and Crispy Chicken and Coconut rice! We did have to wait outside for our table to be ready so be prepared for that. I... More

Burma Superstar is a wonderful restaurant with great flavors and even better service. Go early otherwise one gets to wait outside with everyone else, not bad there is a place to sit and they supply tea while you wait.

We went for lunch on a monday. There was absolutely no wait. It's a simple space, your typical "Ethnic" fare sort of restaurant as far as decor goes though I have it on good authority that they had recently renovated it. Had the lychee mohito (delicious!) and my friend and shared the platha with coconut chicken dipping sauce. If you... More

The food here is excellent! Portions huge and service really good. Only downside is how long you have to wait to get a table but it's definitely worth it.

Before coming, you need to know 2 important things: First, you need to wait at least 30 minutes. Second, it doesn't matter if you asking or not (maybe we just got the worst waiter ever) all the dishes are fried and the products are swimming in a bad oil sauce. If you like an healthy food, please do for yourself... More

this is without doubt one of the really good places of san Francisco. the food is fantastic and diverse and the service marvelous. you may have to wait a little bit as the place is obviously popular and so well run.

Went with friends that were visiting SF. None of us had ever had Burmese food before so we decided to order 3 different things and share which is basically how everyone orders there (family style). Can't remember the names but we had their most popular salad, a beef dish, and a mango chicken dish. All of it was really good.... More

We haven't been back to Burma Superstar in a few years because the lines are just too long. We were at the Sunday Farmer's Mkt and went to BSS not soon after the doors opened for lunch. There was 5 tables occupied and it's probably the best time to go for lunch. I am a fan of their tealeaf salad... More

The wait is long but oh so worth it. I have never had Burmese food before and had no idea what to expect. We waited for one hour and were finally seated, ordering the tea leaf salad, a chicken dish, coconut rice and noodles. Every dish was so delicious, there was no fail. The tea leaf salad had an explosion... More
