Burmese food, like Afghani, is a mix between several different types of food. Burma superstar is the place to be introduced to Burmese food. Their menu ranges from Samosa soup to Shrimp to east asian dishes. have the SOMOSA SOUP and BURMESE FRIED RICE. The popularity of this restaurant has lead extensive wait times during prime dinner times (e.g friday... More

You have to get the rainbow salad...and the tea leaf is pretty good too! Can't remember everything else I had, but it was all yummy!

Small and hidden place with amazing food. We had tea leaf salad and cinnamon spiced chicken. Great tastes, atmosphere and service. The queue was long outside when they opened, and we were the last to get a table.

Great experience. Fantastic combinations, great tastes, all in all amazing food. Small enough to have a nice atmosphere, large enough so that you still manage to find a place. A must visit in San Francisco.

Being from England, we are not blessed with having Burmese food available. Not knowing what to expect, I was blown away. The tea leaf salad is amazing - you can't leave this place without trying it. Platha and dip is also very tasty. Service and atmosphere is greatl If you visit San Fran - make sure you make time to... More

The restaurant in SF is small, as is the one in Oakland, but the food is worth the wait. Their specialties are just that, the tea leaf salad and the Samosa soup in particular. Menu has a good cross section of options. Not to be missed.

It was the day before Thanksgiving and as expected it was a looong wait. But so worth it! It was our first time trying out Burmese food and we loved it! We especially loved the tea leaf salad and samusa soup (similar to the Indian samosa) and the tongue numbing lamb chilli. The platha and dip was similar to the... More

Spent the day hiking Muir Woods and decided to take a friend's advice to try this place out. WOW! Got there about 4:45 and just got in the first seating. Had the chicken salad, lamb curry, calamari and water spinach! Everything was fantastic. Tight fit, but great service and even better food!

We stumbled upon B Superstar during a bike ride and after checking TA reviews, we knew we must try it. Our timing was perfect as we arrived at the end of the lunch rush and we were able to secure a window table. All previous TA reviews are right on point. The food is amazing, full of flavor and fantastic.... More

Sure, as many of the reviews here explain, there's a long wait. No big deal. Left a number, and went for cocktails at The Bitter End. Came back, the tea leaf salad, platha and dip, and chili lamb didn't disappoint!
