Tiny Place With Big Tastes

Went to Pomelo for lunch with a friend and was a bit taken aback by how tiny it was. But this restaurant was big on variety and huge on flavor. We enjoyed the Kandy (Sri lankan style chicken curry) with its fresh ingredients and mild curry spice. The Bormio (buckwheat pasta with sage grilled... read more

My husband and I have lived in this neighborhood for 5 years and we just had our first meal at Pomelo tonight. We have been missing out! The menu was creative, extensive and affordable. We went with the Koh Samui, Gilroy and Lanzhou. All were delicious and I would order each of them again. Bold flavors, cooked to perfection and... More

A regular favorite of ours. We love the Manila, the Havana, and the Cabo San Lucas. Always fresh ingredients with amazing spices.

What a delight to find this wonderful restaurant. At first it appears to be a tiny Asian fusion restaurant until I tasted the amazingly fresh version of Panzenella salad. My ahi Tuna on fried egg noodles with green scallions was kmouth watering. The service was accommodating and efficient. They happily prepared the noodles with a grilled chicken beast and Parmesan... I reviewed this place a little over a year ago and this time took my wife for lunch. All I can say is, awesome. I think there's only 16 seats in this place so it could get very busy. There's not much in the way of ambiance but the service was great and menu had a small but wonderful selection... More

A very nice comfortable little place with great Asian fusion food. Everything was very delicious. When we asked for a bit of fresh basil, they brought it right away. I especially recommend the Ulsan seafood pancake and the seared ahi tuna.

My go to place for feel good food when I'm at work. Flavors from around the world all done well. My favorite is the Manila, especially on a foggy day.

A cute small restaurant just below UCSF Medical in Sunset. This is a great little city to stay in if you are in San Francisco... No McDs or Burger K among the shops and restaurants on Irving and 9th. Pomelo is off this grid a little bit...on Judah and 6th. It is worth finding! I had several meals there but... More

This little restaurant as a short but excellent menu. We had the fish of the day which was fantastic. Get there early or call ahead if you want a table.

Went for dinner with friends. Very casual, food simple but quite tasty, decent wine selection. Inexpensive. Just a nice casual neighborhood place.
