This place is good!

You must try their lasagna on their lunch specials. They're bread is also good and I end up taking some home since it's all you can ask for :-)

The adjacent restaurant, Stelline's (Italian for "little stars") must be owned & run by the same people: "Las estrellas" also means "the stars." This would explain the somewhat original take they have on Mexican food. It isn't what I call especially authentic (my chicken enchiladas had plenty of chicken, yet no enchilada sauce that I could taste) but it's very... More

While on vacation with my family in San Francisco, my aunt came across this great Mexican restaurant near our hotel. It was amazing! Traveling from southern Arizona we were craving authentic Mexican and found just down the street. The gentleman who took our order was sweet and even when we asked for specific items that weren't on the menu he... More

Inexpensive and delicious. $1.50 Modelo Negro on tap. Lovely person took our order at the counter and then brought our food to us.

$1-$1.50 a pint can't be wrong for a cold beer, frosty glass and Gol TV (watch the EPL and ECL). Food in this place is good to average, if you know what AND HOW to order - no extra charge for getting it how you want it: Carne Asada - big if you order extra cheese and beans otherwise anemic... Staying in Hayes Valley

Neighborhood Profile
Hayes Valley
Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of a major freeway. Its removal allowed for the creation of an attractive boulevard on Octavia Street with a community park at its center and dozens of trendy businesses to satisfy visitors looking for a stylish respite.
