We (my husband, teenage kids and I) enjoy a good Indian meal, and having heard that the New Delhi was a great restaurant were keen to go when visiting SF recently. It was nice....but not amazing. The decor was interesting, the food was good, but there wasn't much atmosphere and the staff made no attempt to engage with us....a bit... More

While location of the restaurant is prime and the decor is culturally rich, the food is average. There is definitely room for improvement. We ordered the Paneer tandoori as an appetiser, it was bland and frankly did not have any flavour. Another surprising thing was, when asked for green chutney the staff told us they ran out of it. This... More

Upon walking in off the street, you walk into a dimly lit bar with unpleasant odors. Make it past the bar and there is plenty of seating for the restaurant. The waiters were courteous, but inattentive and did not check on our table often. We waited for a long time to receive our food, but it was very tasty. Two... More

This restaurant is at good location. The ambiance is good but the food is not authentic Indian style. It was more american version of Indian curries. The staff was very slow.

Average Indian restaurant in the centrally located area in the Union Square. Food is ok , with a scope of improvement , but the service is good. They could improve on the hygiene and cleanliness a bit. The staff were wearing a bit old uniform and needed some training on the hygiene front . The rates are reasonable.

This place was recommended by our hotel, which was across the street. While the food was good, the service was slow. It is mainly north Indian food. Nice to try something new because I usually eat at South Indian restaurants at home. The building was architecturally interesting.

Very nice restaurant with a nice Indian touch that does not exceed into kitsch. Very friendly staff and owners, great service and the food is excellent. The wine list is not very long but appropriate. Definitely recommended for a tasty dinner in a relaxing atmosphere,.

Pretty average UK-style Indian restaurant. On the plus side, the meat was carefully cooked and definitely fresh on the bone, no re-heated overcooked meat dishes here. Friendly and competent service. Surprisingly little sauce with any of the dishes, had to order extra raita to balance it all better. The naan breads were nice. Nothing seriously wrong with this restaurant but... More

Had a very enjoyable meal. Staff were courteous and attentive and the food was very good. The menu has a good range of the usual Indian fare. I do prefer deep fried poppadoms to grilled though.
