Strange colors, flavors in this poor meal

Eating a very lame lunch from New Delhi restaurant on Ellis St. in SF. I was in the mood for keema mattar, which is a homestyle ground lamb or beef (or turkey if you want to be all new age and healthy about it) and daal. So disappointed that the keema seems to be made with tandoori-paste-ified lamb... read more

Three of us went to New Delhi for dinner. From the outside, the place doesn't look like much. Inside isn't that great either--kind of worn and shabby. But the service is prompt and friendly and the food was very good. We shared among us a lamb curry, shrimp tandoori, and chicken rasala. All were excellent, although my favorite was the... More

The food was bland and it was pretty apparent that they were going to reuse the salad that comes with all meals. The waiter was careful not to put it with the dirty dishes. That was unsanitary and gross... considering my 4 year old was touching it. Who knows if it was used before it came to us.

Very pleasant restaurant with friendly and quick service. The food is very good and delicious, and is served with style. Have been there several times and enjoy it every time.

We found this little Indian restaurant on our last day in San Francisco and wished we'd found it earlier. Everything about the place was authentic from the people to the place settings. The food was delicious and so reasonably priced.

We have some really good Indian food in Houston where I live so I'm a bit of a snob. The New Delhi was right across the street from the Wyndham where I stayed for a conference so I decided to give it a try. (It's in a great location right in the middle of the Union Square area.) I was... More

We arrived in San Francisco on Thursday afternoon, checked into our hotel and went online looking for a restaurant in the area. My husband said he would like Indian food if there was something nearby. I was thinking the same thing. New Delhi was a short walk from the Marriott Marquis. Perfect. When we arrived at the restaurant, there were... More

Do not go here for food, especially Jain food. No variety at all. On top of that, it has a cover charge of $15 per person. Also, it does not focus on its quality of food at all

Sanfrancisco is a wonderful place to be in addition to availability of choicest of Asian food. I had discovered this little joint courtesy Goggle. Really enjoyed typical Indian dishes in a nice and cosy environment. Restaurant decor is amazing and also oozes ample warmth.

I'm not the greatest fan of Indian food. The food was ok, not as oily as some places I've been to before. The price was quite dear though for what it was. We had a mixed starter platter, again I don't think it's worth the price. I recommend order individual starter to share. The main course was good. Although they... More
