We dined at Limon tonight at a table next to the window. We were enjoying the food and the atmosphere until we noticed a large gravid roach crawling up the inside of the window next to our table. We alerted our server who attributed this gross encounter to the open street-facing window near our table. He had a busboy immediately... More

We didn't eat at the restaurant, instead it was brought in for lunch on a worksite. Delicious chicken that was flavored to the bone! Ceviche was killer. All of it was fresh and just yummy! The only thing that would have made it better, a fresh Pisco sour!

For us Limon was a "colourful light" in the Misson area in San Francisco. The place was full of people enjoying themselves and we had the luck not to wait for much for a table. The Ceviche De Pescado & Jalea (some kind of mixture - crispy seafood, yucca & salsa criolla served with tartar sauce) were our favourites. Also keep... More

While visiting friends and family in the Bay Area they brought us here for lunch. We had their signature Rotisserie Chicken and side dishes of rice and beans, sweet potato fries and empenadas. The chicken was delicious and cooked to perfection. The rice was also very delicious as were the empenadas. The atmosphere was nothing special but the food was... More

Restaurant was very crowded when we went, so would recommend reservations if you plan to eat after 7. Food was very good, nice selection of port wines. Service was excellent.

Limon didn't look like much, but all of the dishes were remarkable in some way. Our table ended up sharing each plate, as everything was interesting and tasty. Next time I certainly will order the chicken, which I tend to avoid in restaurants since it's so often the same. But here it was delicious.

I came here years ago and remember liking it but decided to come back and bring friends along this time but was very disappointed. The flavors weren't good, there are many other Peruvian restaurants in town that are better. I'm not coming back.

It was a family-style dinner for a large group of 15. The food was good but it seemd pricey for what you got and it was VERY noisy but that was due to several large parties there at once.

Tried to walk-in for dinner with a friend on a weeknight. Wouldn't get a table much later into the night so opted for another place. Happened to be in the same area the next day around lunch and we were able to walk in and get a table without wait. The place is pretty big compared to the other places... More

This place is simple, with great cocktails, and decent food at great value. Tasty 'small plates" and hearty entrees round a decent menu. Peruvian, sort of, but who cares, when you leave satisfied and want to come back again soon. Pleasant location for an evening with friends, a few drinks and relaxation.
