Excellent Italian!!

We ate at Kuleto's on a whim and cannot tell you how blown away we were! This is hands down the best meal we had while we were in SanFran, and definitely the best Italian food we've had since we've been to Italy!! We had a very nice meal at Kuleto's. I had salmon which was very delicious, and my husband had fillet which was very tender. The presentation was lovely, and the food was fresh and tasty. The Ceasar salad was one of the best anywhere. I recommend this restaurant when in the Union Square area.

After at least ten years, I returned to Kuletos for dinner. We thankfully were seated in the very back of the restaurant - much quieter. Although if you want a lively bar scene, sit either at the bar or the counter. We all ordered small plates, salads, gnocchi with Brussels Sprouts that rivaled gnocchi in Italy, caprese salad. All excellent.... More

It was a solo dinner, no drinks. I had the special - salmon with white bean puree, pancetta and mushrooms. It came with broccolini, which I am not a fan of, but the waiter offered to replace it with spinach, which I did. I must say I was not impressed by the bread basket - just very blah, a bit... More

Great service and food. The place looks very nice. I had fettuccine and also some dessert, so it added up.

A wonderful relaxing and spacious restaurant with an electric ambiance as it is always busy. All the varied choice of breads, starters, mains and sweets are house made and all are delicious. There is also a good choice of wines and beers and a constant supply of iced water. Service is courteous and very attentive. As you walk in pass... More

I came here with work colleagues just before to catching a flight back to the UK. It's in a convenient location, very close to the Hilton. Service was very friendly, our waitress stumbled her words, but she was charming and recovered well - you could tell it was a genuine mistake! I had the tuna crudo to start. The Tuna... More

Whenever we shop around Union Square or the Westfield Mall in downtown San Francisco, Kuleto's is our restaurant of choice. When alone, my husband and I like to perch at the bar. Two favorites are the Pappardelle with duck bolognese and the grilled radicchio salad. Fantastic!!!

It was Valentines weekend in San Fran and we didn't have a reservation but walking towards Union Square we noticed there were a few empty seats in the lounge area of Kuleto's so we walked in and grabbed the table (it's an Italian Restaurant). The server Chris was amazing and very professional, explaining the entire menu to us. They give... More

I have been coming to Kuletos for at least 20 years as a favorite restaurant for any occasion, special or not. They have excellent Italian food, well prepared and incorporating local specialties. I was there for valentines and had the crab tagliatini. Excellent! I also recommend Kuletos for breakfast, any day.
