Great trolley dim sum

This is the third time we've been there now and make a point of going there when in San Francisco. Excellent dim sum, very fast trolley service means you could be finished after half an hour. We'll definitely go back again

This restaurant is hot. Great Diem Sum at a not so exorbitant price. From the time you walk into the restaurant, you feel the lively energy and smell great food. A lady starts to bring around dishes of Chinese food, and the hard part is picking which one to eat. The location is close to 2nd and Market St, and... More

Premiere dim sum. Unbelievable pork bao and buns. The fried crab awesome. Not a clunker on the menu.

Don't let the nondescript location in a shopping center in the middle of the financial district fool you. It is some of the finest Dim Sum in the country--if you're new to dim sum don't be intimidated, just about everything is delicious.

We lived in SF in the 1980's and 1990's and every time back we have a meal at Yank Sing....usually the Stevenson location. The food is fresh, tasty, bountiful, and wonderful looking. Pricey--yes......always has been. But where else can you get such a great selection of yummies!! It is packed, crammed, not the most wonderful looking place, not that comfortable,... More

Whenever I come back to San Francisco, Yank Sing is on my food bucket list. If you're a lover of dim sum, you can't go wrong here. It is exciting to never know what the next cart may bring you in the way of dim sum eats

When people review specialty restaurants they often say this is the best sushi, or Italian, or Chinese restaurant and so on. And Yank Sing is the best dim sum restaurant in San Francisco and I believe all of the US. That said, it is also one of the best restaurants of any kind in San Francisco and, for that matter,... Dim Sum is a must at the spectacular restaurant! The food is just wonderful, service is quick. Make reservations and the soup dumplings are a must. What a surprise.

We usually go to somewhat less expensive dim sum establishments but this time we splurged. Wow, glad we did. We loved everything that we tried. It was also the best service that I've ever experienced at a dim sum place. Everyone should try dim sum at least once, and this is place is worth the visit.

Outstanding every single time we visit, and we've been to this Stevenson location plenty of times since 2010. Try the signature Shanghai dumplings, or their chicken & mushroom dumplings. Though oily, their spring rolls are crunchy and delicious. If you can eat chicken feet, this is the place to try them out. Check out their desserts too, including a tasty... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
