Description: Daily Grill is located on Geary, near Powell, only a half-block from Union Square and in the center of San Francisco’s theatre district. Comfortable and clubby with booths and high ceilings, Daily Grill is a great place to take a break from the bustle of Union Square. The large menu and comfortable decor makes the Daily Grill a favorite stop before or after the theatre. Daily Grill is an updated version of the San Francisco grills of the past, providing generous portions of classic American dishes, such as steaks, chops, chicken pot pie, and meat loaf...a neat, friendly place where one can get crab cakes or a burger, Shrimp Louie or a T-Bone, along with martinis, single malts, microbrews and a good bottle of wine. The ambience is lively and clubby, with comfortable booths, dark woods and high ceilings.

Called ahead for reservations and when we got there, there were people waiting for tables. I gave the maître d our name and he sat us immediately. Unfortunately I forgot our waiter's name because he was the best waiter we have ever had! Gave great advice, brought my husband beer samples and just chatted with us about where we were... More

Breakfast was part of our hotel package. Only 3 choices which were OK Shame you have only 1 choice of drink & have to pay for coffee & any other drink e.g juice. Service was a bit hit & miss. Forgetting coffee, bringing the wrong breakfast & just generally felt that we were an inconvenience as we weren't buying from... More

We had breakfast twice here on our last trip and the food was good if unsurprising. I'd recommend the waffles. I especially like sitting at a booth. It adds a sense of old world charm as well as providing a measure of privacy.

Great Steaks salads, fish, soups and the dessert are great too, just a few yards away from Union Square. The only thing I don' like is that is it is located on the lower level of a hotel.

Ate here with several friends. We found the service good and there was a very broad choice on the menu, we followed our friendly waiter's recommendations which were excellent. Portions were generous. Wine list had plenty of choice at reasonable prices.

Good and friendly service, very good food in reasonable portions. The bread is excellent, you can eat while waiting your food, this is a bit slow but it worths it.

Service from Elliot - Fantastic. Excellent knowledge of the menu. Took exceptions to the orders and brought to kitchen. Food served just as requested and steaks were absolutely delish all round! Desert was an amazing choc fudge brownie with an extra scoop of ice cream! (Thanks again Elliot!) and the beer and wine also up to the same standard as... More

All I had here was the Fried Calamari but it was great. So often you get a lot of breading and very little calamari. Not so with this. And the Ginger Lemon Aioli was awesome! Great and friendly service. Even though I was only having an appetizer, there was no rush or made to feel like I should be ordering... More

We were late in eating but looking a for something not to fancy. Walked past this place and decided to give it a try. Food was really good in a lovely setting that the outside does to do justice to. We had crab cakes which are aplenty in San Fran but these were really light and filled full of crab... More

We found this place by chance while walking about. We both had steaks, one filet and one skirt. The foot was really good. Service was great and there was a good atmosphere. It's a bit expensive but probably worth it..
