Daily Grill is located on Geary, near Powell, only a half-block from Union Square and in the center of San Francisco’s theatre district. Comfortable and clubby with booths and high ceilings, Daily Grill is a great place to take a break from the bustle of Union Square. The large menu and comfortable decor makes the Daily Grill a favorite stop before or after the theatre. Daily Grill is an updated version of the San Francisco grills of the past, providing generous portions of classic American dishes, such as steaks, chops, chicken pot pie, and meat loaf...a neat, friendly place where one can get crab cakes or a burger, Shrimp Louie or a T-Bone, along with martinis, single malts, microbrews and a good bottle of wine. The ambience is lively and clubby, with comfortable booths, dark woods and high ceilings.

Good food, but a little noisy

The restaurant looks like an old diner, but is quite large on the inside. The calamari for the appetizer and the orange marinated skirt steak were cooked tenderly and were flavorful.

Highly recommend the tuscan brick chicken. Best chicken we have ever tasted. Everything was good. A little pricey but you got large portions & very good food

It was so non-remarkable that neither my wife or I even remember what we ate. We do recall walking out thinking we vastly overpaid for both the meal and the experience. If you like chain restaurants with a predictably safe menu this place is for you. If you want a memorable dining experience go elsewhere.

We were looking for a nosh and found the perfect place. They have a menu that includes sandwiched, soup, and the best mac and cheese I've eaten. Prices were reasonable and the food was good.

This place is pricey. I know SF isn't the cheapest city in the world, but this place really isn't worth it. $8 for a bowl of granola, and the yogurt is $4 extra? Kids meals are good value, and big enough to feed adult. Kids breakfast plus two bowls of granola with fruit, two bowls of yogurt, a side of... More

Visited here with business partners over lunch. It wasn't too far from the hotel and had good reviews. I liked the interior and the service was very forthcoming. Food was above average, but wouldn't go for "outstanding". Nevertheless, it was solid good food and perfect for a business environment. Portions are rather large, so no need for a appetizer. Seating... More

The food was good, but not amazing, but it is handy. I have only been for dinner and want to try breakfast. Good for the price. Can't take alcohol to the attached hotel,

We had our first meal here after flying from England. It was recommended by the concierge at our hotel and met our need perfectly. The waitress was very friendly and explained the menu options, which was necessary because we were a bit jet-lagged.
