Definitely worth trying. We loved the smaller feel. Tried the fettuccine and ravioli and both were good. Good wines as well and really good tiramisu. They just ran out of the lava cake, but other than that everything was good.

Shame on anyone that gives this place a poor review. It's some of the best Italian in town. It was our last night visiting and of course we didn't have a reservation, but were able to sit at the bar. I would definitely recommend a reservation, because the bar is small and the bartender is always slammed. She still managed...

Lovely food, good sized portions, speedy service, got a table for two on a busy evening without a reservation
1st time in city, asked concierge where to eat, surprised he recommended restaurant at another hotel but, when we got there, could certainly see why! Friendly, varied menu, not expensive(well, for SF anyway,), lovely intimate atmosphere. Tried to go back there the next night but they were booked out
Attending a conference in SF and visiting our daughter who works here. Chose Fino based on TA reviews. Excellent pastas, pizzas and Italian cuisine. Server Michael was outstanding and also from Massachusetts. Ask for him! Will definitely return.
This is a small Italian restaurant off the beaten track on Post St. that our concierge recommended as her favorite for Italian food. Its a place where the locals eat. But it is quite beautiful inside, with an extensive menu.
The food is delicious and the service superb. We shared a salad and had separate entrees, which were quite large....

I tried Fino based on the great reviews, and I have to say I was somewhat dissapointed.
Decor is "tired" and plain. I would suggest investing a bit in sprucing up the place to reflect the menu price points.
Food was average, certainly not the level I would expect of a highly rated restaurant in a city known for great...

Traveling with business colleagues we needed to have an early dinner before our red eye back East. We called last minute for reservations without a problem
The inside is decorated nicely, high ceilings, old glass in the windows. I would not say that dining would be intimate if you were looking for that
The menu provides many options and each...

Ate dinner at Fino's the last two nights I was in San Francisco. Will be heading back at this delicious restaurant the next time I am there. The location is perfect, great atmosphere and excellent food (Italian and seafood are the best).
Great small romantic restaurant. We had mussels and clams with linguine, and sea bass, plus fried calamari. All done just right. Service was attentive but very friendly. Wine was reasonable price.
