Great jerk chicken in a cool outside cafe

Great jerk chicken in this casual outside café. Service is great with an extensive menu in this "hole in the wall" outdoor restaurant between Moscone Center and AT&T ballpark. It's worth a visit.

Affordable good food around Mission Bay is very hard to find. Primo Patio is a great little cafe with awesome jerk chicken and fries! The full plates are quite a bit of food compared to the sandwich or pita. Fries can be submitted with roasted potatoes or cumin rice. The grilled fish is pretty tasty as well.

This is definitely a neighborhood gem! The fish was fresh and delicious, and the waitperson was friendly and welcoming. The patio is very cute--decorated Caribbean style. It is easy to miss- the storefront is small and the patio is hidden from street view. Most of the entrees can be made gluten-free.

We went here for an early dinner before a Giants game. Apparently they don't generally serve dinner, except on game nights, so if you're going for dinner call ahead for their hours. We got there early at 4:00 and were initially put off as it appeared to be a take-out place, but the reviews were good and said they had... More

I went there for lunch with my boyfriend and you definitely need. They were clearly understaffed but you could see they were trying their hardest to make things work. The restaurant was packed and they had only one person taking orders. It is outside seating. I ordered a steak sandwich. It was absolutely delicious though the fries could of been... More

I've been wanting to visit this cafe for quite a while -- the food and atmosphere sounds quite amazing and welcoming. However, when I recently tried to make a reservation, the opposite was the case. I asked the hostess for a reservation for four at 830pm (my friend had just flown in from New York and this was the earliest... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
