This was not my first time to Blowfish, but it was one of the best Sushi dinners I have ever had. this is not your run of the mill Sushi places. It is definitely worth the travel.

Had a family reunion in SF in August and ate at Blowfish with 20+ people. Blowfish did an awesome job and even family members not too hip on sushi thought it was great.

This is a seriously good restaurant despite coming off like a Hard Rock. At first glance the waitstaff may seem to belong in a Hooters rather than a serious sushi place but they know their stuff and are friendly and nice. Our waitress was really exceptional. Oh, and the sushi is sublime. As a resident of a land-locked locale I... More

Wow!!!! And I was a nobu fan!! This is probably the best sushi /Japanese food I ever had!! I don't know if they are only in San Fran but they should be in Europe too so I get to go more often ! I can't tell what was better or best! We had several things , we were 5 pcs... More

This unassuming restaurant is a must for those looking for a new experience in Sushi dining. The menu is so varied and the combinations so different from the usual fare. It's sushi with a twist to die for..Make reservations..

In a surprising location that seemed deserted and dark, a great little sushi restaurant! We had 3 appetizers- the tartar pyramid (amazing) and the kyo twist was a wow and the sushi (all special rolls)- to die for! Highly recommended!

Some coworkers and I went here after a long day putting on a conference at the Moscone Center. Our party of six was accommodated even though I had made a reservation for five. The waitress Brigie was extremely pleasant and helpful. We had seaweed salad and the pyramid of tartare to begin. Both were fabulous. Really impressive presentation when the... More

This place used to be good so this is the second time we give it a try. Unfortunately we got very disappointed both times. The one roll that I liked the least was the " to die for": it tasted like dirt and the combination of the beef and the lobster it s just not good. We tried many other... More

My wife isn't the biggest raw sushi fan, but even she LOVED this place. We got 3 different rolls that were each fantastic - $o$umi, filet mignon and crunchy california rolls. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. The bartender was super friendly and gave excellent recommendations. The beignet dessert was the best dessert we had the whole trip!! I would... More
