We dined at Delfina's on a local's recommendation. So glad we listened! I love restaurants that have a casual atmosphere with terrific food - this is one of them. Our meal started with Tartine Bakery bread (which you have to ask for) and salted butter - really good. We then had a corn soup which had a wonderful fresh off... More

Knowledgeable staff, well prepared food, nice wines, reasonable cost, interesting neighborhood although it is getting a bit gentrified on the east side of Mission and very near BART....it all adds up to a solid 4 star restaurant. Any negatives? only beer and wine, a bit pricey on the beer selections and the chicken, which was recommended to one of the... More

We dropped by for lunch and were lucky to get a table. Our company had pizzas and meat balls. Both dishes were great, and so was the service. Definitely worth the walk from the main streets. Will be back here the next time I visit SF.

Really high quality clam pie pizza. I was also recommended two excellent glasses of wine to match. Really nice vibe.

Every once in a while you have a meal that makes you think to yourself, "so THAT'S how that is supposed to taste!" Delfina is that kind of restaurant. I've passed it many times over the years but it looked expensive and was always packed. But, we couldn't eat until very late last weekend and it was the only place... More

We are over visiting from England and felt $120 for 2 salad starters, 2 small bowls of pasta and 2 glasses of wine expensive. Having said that, the food was excellent - well prepared and great flavours - and the service was friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our meal and the queue outside says that they must be doing... More

In town for a wedding. A chance to get together with a friend after 11 years. Delfina was around the corner. A great place to catch up with friends. We shared a bunch of different plates on the waiter's suggestions and enjoyed every morsel. Nice wine list . A bit noisy and crowded on a Wednesday night, but well worth... More

This is a fun neighborhood restaurant in the mission. Noisy but feels fun. The asparagus with Parmesan zabaglione sauce was so delicious I wanted to lick the plate. Gnocchi with ragu was standout. Nice wine list.

We live in SF and have our short list of go-to eateries. We'd heard of how good Delfina is for many years, but it's difficult to get a reservation. Finally, due to a last minute visit by an out of town friend, we got an 8 o'clock table on a Monday night. Delfina was packed but we had an outstanding... More

Delfina was one of the highlights of an amazing 12-day trip in California that started in San Francisco & ended in San Diego. When I am blown away by bread & butter (softened & sprinkled with sea salt), we're off to a good start. Each course was delectable. Each morsel of the little pasta -- a homemade ravioli with chopped... More
