Definite try with friends.

Nice Morrocan fare in downtown Sfo. Typical. hummus, salad starters. The Lamb tagine is an exquisite & a myst try for meat lovers - 2 huge portions on bone-in lamb that fall apart. If you've never tried a Moroccan restaurant, you should give it a try. The decor is very interesting. You lounge on low pillow couches near the floor with candlelite and gleaming. The meal is several courses and delicious. Wonderful touches like eating with your hands and then having them washed with rose water between courses. I understand there's great music... More

This restaurant offers ambiance and delicious food and can't-beat prices. A friend and I went and ordered the 5 course dinner of Chicken with Almonds and Honey. We shared the single order and were both well-satisfied for around $40. The staff is friendly and respectful, the food is amazing, and the setting makes it an evening to remember.

On O''Farrell, a block past the Hilton Hotel is a little slice of Morrocco with low tables, a belly dancer and gracious hosts. Warm water hand wash poured from a beautiful pot expertly over a beautiful bowl starts the evening along with mint tea. Hummus, veggies, bread, honey chicken, lamb and eggplant all were delicious and the baklava was not... More

I took my Beautiful Bride here to celebrate our anniversary; I planned ahead and made reservations more than a week earlier, informing them it was our anniversary when I made the reservation. Not being from the area I only had the reviews to go off of, I have only been to one other Moroccan restaurant years ago and loved it.... More

To their credit, Marrakech was one a few restaurants opened on Christmas. They were overwhelmed and had a hard time honouring our reservation. They finally found a spot for us in the corner. The waiter told us that they were busy, short staffed and low on ingredients. That may have been the excuse for terrible food. The hummus was bland.... More

I needed some food late at night as my flight was delayed. I stayed at the hilton a block away. The area is sketchy at night as it is the tenderloin. They had a bouncer outside as apparently it's also a club. I got some food to go but the food was old and cold.

A friend had booked this restaurant, so we were unprepared for what we found there. Our waiter told us not to worry about the starters, we would get all of them (?), we only had to choose our mains. This was a bit confusing, but we went along with it, mostly as we were not sure if this had been... More

Lots of fun and interesting Moroccan setting with belly dancing and above average food. Great place to go before magic show that is attached to restaurant. Fun with family/friends.

This is a really odd restaurant. The service is really good. The food is just above average. The atmosphere seems authentic. And we thought the belly dancing was good... Then the dancing seemed to devolve into something else. I've been to Turkey. I've seen genuine belly dancing not done for tourists. But I've never seen men show dollar bills into... More
