Awesome Thai place

Been going here 20 years. Best Thai place I've found. Its the lunch menu that really shines and its the lunch combo deal that's the real star. 2 choices from 10 plus rice, soup, and that little sweet cucumber thingy. Pretty americanized spicing just like I like it (I hate spicy heat). My... read more

My wife and I often come here for lunch when we visit the shopping centers in the area. We never had a bad meal. They serve lunch specials at very reasonable prices. During our last visit, I ordered the chicken curry which came with soup and imperial rolls and of course, fried rice. The Mrs. ordered shrimp with fish cake,... More

The food and service at Manora's Thai was excellent and genuine Thai (according to my travel companion who visits Thailand yearly). The yellow curry chicken was wonderful but they have the BEST papaya salad EVER! Perfect amount of spice (not too hot) and moisture, and very fresh!

We only came for lunch on a recommendation. This is a very good, family run Thai. Flavours are good and, although they probably cater for a low local tolerance of chili, this can be fixed as they have assorted chili sauces to hand. Lunch at under $9 for soup, a choice of two dishes and rice must be the best... More

One of the first dates I had with my (now) husband was at Manora's over 20 years ago. We loved it and went there often, but moved out of the city some time ago and hadn't been in years. We just went back this past weekend, and it's still a great place for lovers of Thai food. There is a... More

Wish I went here for dinner instead of Khan Toke. Popped in for lunch and we got the lunch specials. Absolutely the best lunch in San Francisco and what a deal. Lemon soup, two choices of food per lunch plate with rice, and one Thai iced tea cost a whooping $21.86 for two people. The rest of the day I... More

This was my first time at this Thai restaurant. We were meeting some friends and this was their favorite place to eat Thai food. The experience was lovely. It was a quaint restaurant but clean and just had a nice asian atmosphere. Since it was two families we ordered a few things on the menu. Chicken satay, Por-Pia-Sod (roll), Pad... More

We stopped by this place on a Thursday night and to our surprise it wasn't busy at all. Manora's Tai has really good food. The Thai Tea was excellent and all the portions are good size. The prices aren't too bad either. Had the beef with spicy chili sauce and it had a kick to it so be prepared. Everyone... More

We went to Manora's while in San Francisco, I was craving Thai food after a Thai massage. I remembered this restaurant on the corner of Folsom and 12th as a good alternative for Thai fare at a fair price. I'm happy to say I was not disappointed! The restaurant looks exactly the same way, but more importantly the food was... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
