Still the best breakfast in SF

Was here this week for the Super Bowl. Could not get in over the weekend but caught a break Monday and got a table. The blueberry pancakes are amazing, muffins and even scrambled eggs are better than most. Will be back.

We waited over an hour in line, but do not let this deter you. It was well worth the wait. You will get in quicker if you were a party of 2 vs a party of 5 like us. The Service was quick, staff friendly and food delicious

As most of the reviews say this place is awesome. Huge portions and AMAZING pastries. We tried the coconut honey muffin and the sweet potato toffee scone. Both were phenomenal!! Great atmosphere and great service. Don't miss the house made pico de gallo. We arrived just after 8:30 on a Sunday morning and had about a 30 minute wait. It... More

Our waiter was a good one and their breakfast menu large. Our breakfast seemed overpriced but was above average in taste. The fried potatoes were average and the eggs cooked as I asked. The pancakes were less than average. The best thing was the red raspberry jam, table side. The restaurant has a lot of homeless people around the area,... More

Recommended to go for Breakfast and was not disappointed, had the southwestern scramble which was a large portion and very tasty. Good atmosphere and service only problem don't sit near entrance as it was cold as the door was wide open all the time.

Gritty neighborhood, wait for a table, hard to park. All part of the package. Every bite is fabulous, the staff is terrific. Huge portions but great flavors. Love their Salmon Scramble, Smoked Whiskey Fennel Sausage, Buttermilk Dill toast, pancakes and crumb cake.

I was there when it opened in order to avoid any waiting outside for breakfast. No complaints about the service which provided what I needed when I did. Dottie's serves good, dependable breakfasts, so if you want to be adventuresome this probably isn't the place for you. But my fritatta was excellent and very large. I particularly appreciated the thick... More

We're staying in SOMA (8th & Market) and found Dottie's online. We arrived at 7:15am on a Monday and there was a small line in front of us since the restaurant opens at 7:30am. We sat at the bar and service was prompt. It was difficult to absorb the specials and the menu to determine what we wanted since everything... More

The best, most innovative scrambles ever for breakfast! The coffee was perfect and the food was amazing. So worth the wait.

Like many hungry breakfasters, we waited over an hour to fill our mouthholes with the highly raved experience at Dottie's. At last... the door... after an hour plus wait. The food, coffee, pastry all were certainly an upgrade from your go to breakfast joint. The eggs are fresh and the portions are generous. We had attentive staff ready to fill... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
