Fabulous food and service! The fennel sausage and spinach eggs and the black bean cakes with sour cream and pico de gallo with eggs any way were our favorites. Both come with the corn bread and jalapeño jam - a must try! While waiting, sip a nicely-sized Mimosa and try one of the coffee cakes - served warm - so... More

My family and I had a breakfast here and it was delicious. Yet do not go here if you are looking for a traditional meal, the flavours aren't that if up your average joe's. Be prepared to queue for the restaurant and be aware the neighbourhood surrounding isn't the most pleasant and is a little ceady. Having said this you... More

They have moved since I have been here last and it is such an improvement. The space is much larger, nice décor. The food is as good as ever, varied ingredients, the muffins are fresh and delicious. Staff are friendly and quick with a coffee refill. If you are in town, you have to try it.

Dottie's continues to have a queue outside , partly because it is IN THE CITY and there are just people (not just tourists) who patronise this place for breakfast or brunch. If you drive, parking along curbside is a challenge. The reason being is that parking meters are only 2hr limit and your long line queue could take 1 hr...... More

We joined a small line :15 before opening, and it went part way down the adjacent block when the doors opened. The line was almost as long when we left perhaps :90 later. The reason is obvious--generous helpings of extraordinarily good food - lots of egg variations and baked goods, tasty coffee, professional service, and reasonable prices. My wife had... More

We waited outside for 25 minutes, outside the restaurant is kind of a beat down neighborhood with lots of homeless people, but if you have an open mind and just focus on getting in the restaurant then you wont have a problem, it was an experience. The food was amazing, my husband got the fritatata with avocado and other veggies,... More

We waiting in line, in the rain, for 30 minutes to get into Dottie's. I would have waited even longer. You are greeted at the door by someone who's first question is "How are you today?". That sets the tone for the entire experience. The decor is great, this place has been refurbed with love and care. The wait staff... More

We went on a Sunday morning around 8:00 and the wait to get in was about 45 minutes. Honestly, the problem was not the wait to get in, but more so the area in which we waited--many homeless beggars. I know SF and generally this does not bother me but there was nowhere to go, we were stuck in a... More

Be there early, especially on weekends or prepare for a 20-30 minutes queuing. However, we'll worth waiting for given value for money and atmosphere. We ordered 3 dishes for 2 adults, 1 teenager and 1 kid which was perfectly enough.
