Good seafood

Ok I was craving crab so bad so I decided to try this place. It has a rather good overall quality in both ambiance and food. Service is alright but no major issues. But the crab was simply spectacular!! Especially with that butter and salt.

Whenever I visit SF I must have the Roast Garlic Crab at Thanh Long located on Jude and Hyde near the Golden Gate Bridge Park. The Dungeness crab is cooked and served to perfection. Finger licking delight! Also must have the garlic noodles but not much else as the crab is the "piece de resistance". Reservations are required and valet... More

This restaurant is one of my favorites. When I come to San Francisco it is on my agenda. It has maintained its quality and ambiance. It is hidden in the beach district and is always busy. Reservations recommended. My favorite is the Garlic Crab with garlic noodles. The crab comes in more than one flavor but garlic is my favorite.... More

Absolutely the best crab I ever had and I'm from east coast blue crab country. Make sure you wash your hands before eating, because you will be licking your fingers to taste the pepper/butter sauce from them. Roasted Crab and don't forget the garlic noodles with chili sauce. It's my required stop every time I'm in San Francisco. Try a... More

Enjoyed another super roasted crab and garlic noodles meal at this always packed restaurant! We make it a point to come here every time we visit our family. Reservations are a MUST! Parking on the local residential streets is difficult so you may want to consider using their valet parking! You will pay market price for the crabs but it's... More

If the end of the world is coming, I have decided all I need for the apocalypse is an order of Drunken crab ( swimming in garlic, chives, scallions, and Chardonnay) and garlic noodles. I love this dish. It complete with the bib and hot towel after to clean up. I have visited Thanh Long for many years. This was... More

My wife and I first ate here in 1990 and we come back almost every time we are in San Francisco. As far as I'm concerned, the crab and garlic noodles remain true to form just the way I remember it in 1990. The roast crab and garlic noodles always satisfy us. Granted, I can see that some people are... More

Having lived in the City for a long time I have heard many people talk about Thanh Long with almost lusty reverence. We took the plunge with a group of us. I certainly did not experience lust or even joy but just barely nice. I must say I did not think the price was nearly worth it. A crab, mushy... More

I hadn't eaten at Thanh Long's in over 15 years. I used to frequent TL because they had THE best garlic noodles and garlic roasted crab. I decided to go back and I was very disappointed. The garlic noodles were not as tasty as I recall and they were served cold. The Shaken (mystery meat) Beef was off in texture... More
