Good restaurant

This restaurant is very good. It is built in a nice place and the inside isn't bad. Everything that I tasted when I went there was delicious except for the pizza which they added too much olive oil.

We ventured here after hearing about the great share plates. We were a group of 9, 4 adults and 5 kids. We all enjoyed our meals and the service was great. We loved the idea of choosing dishes to share and the portions were huge. There was a great kids menu too. The best part of the evening was when... More

We were told this restaurant was great by the staff at the Inter-Continental Hotel, and they were spot on. The atmosphere was fun, and the food was plentiful, very tasty, and very reasonably priced. We loved it, reminded me of my Noni's cooking!

San Francisco has tons of restaurants to try once you've tried this one out. I wouldn't recommend it given a choice. The wait was awfully long for three items we ordered! Pepperoni pizza, chicken carbonara and spicy penne. I was disappointed ! We had ten in our party and we waited, waited, waited - no bread too! What kind of... More

Lunch was an interesting experience. My first thought was hoping there would not be a fire as we walked down a narrow stairway to a series of dining rooms below ground level that seemed to have only one exit. We were a large group, nearly thirty, which probably accounted for very slow service. There were long waits, with empty plates,... More

Be prepared for gnocci. Was told it was a chain restaurant so didn't arrive with undue expectations. That aside, the pre-dinner drinks were in a well served bar and the wait for a table was short. The 10 people in our group were easily accommodated downstairs. Really good gnocci were on the horizon. Service was good, after a lumpy start... More

This was a first time visit to this location, my family are regulars at our neighborhood Buca and visit the Universal City Walk location at least 4 times a year as well. We arrived on a Saturday evening around 6:00 pm and put our name in for a table for 6 after parking in the open fenced lot a block... More

We enjoyed the ambience of this restaurant immensely. Small but full of old photos, memorabilia and great Italian music. One room was a little weird with a bust of the Pope as the centerpiece and a similarly themed room but in general a very cool place in the heart of downtown. Food was very good.

We love the Buca di Beppo chain and this one didn't disappoint. There were three of us. A small salad, a side of vegetables, two small entrees and cheese bread was way too much food. It sounds like too much as I write it. We took the leftovers to a homeless man so they didn't go to waste. Be warned... More

Nice an close to the Moscone and Union Square. The food was tasty but slightly small based on my American portion size experience so in a group there's no issue ordering a few extra dishes Was really put off by the lady that came around for the "free postcard" that we reluctantly took and then came in for the upsell.... Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
