The glass of red wine with the meal was like being at home. So much food even with the items coming off the lunch menu. From the hotel it only a few steps away, which makes it easy to roll back to the room.

Yes, This is a chain. But it is a fun one and the downtown San Francisco location is a kick. Three floors. 4 busloads of Japanese students came in while we were waiting for our table but it did not effect service at all. They handle it all the time. Order dishes and share family style. A photographer was on... More

We made reservations at 7:15 pm because we knew Thanksgiving would be busy. We had no idea that we'd still have to wait an hour and 15 minutes for our food to finally arrive. Completely incompetent. They offered a Thanksgiving special, but ran out of some of the items from it (No mashed potato? Are you kidding?). The waitress was... More

We were at an event at Moscone Center and walked down the street for a late lunch. The restaurant was not crowded, we were seated at an end table in the "peacock room". The food portion, even with us splitting the entree, it was a lot of food. However; each time we needed something, one of us had to get... More

Staying nearby with a group of business colleagues. Hosting staff seemed spaced out and weird. Our server was very friendly and attentive - that was the bright spot. Frankly awkward to do family style with people you don't know well - know before you go that you will have to decide what you want to share. The food was mediocre... More

Big servings, great environment to set a friendly tone for a business meeting. Loved the calamari! Also good for big groups.

We were staying at the Intercontinental across the street and decided to run over and get pizza so we could watch the game in the room. I have been to this chain before in other areas and know that they generally have two sizes -- small feeds 2-3 people and large feeds 4 or 5. So, for my boyfriend and... More

Went here during lunch time at a conference. Since it is close to the Moscone Center it was a quick walk. One thing that makes this restaurant special is the whole interior. Instead of dining on the same level or walking up you are being guided to the "cellar/dungeons". Immediately, you are surrounded by tones of images and photos on... More

Service was great, but the food was overpriced and just okay. Nothing special about it - just what you can get at any average Italian joint.

Big portions family style. Great pastas Good prices and servers were attentive but not overly so. I think the place is good and has the classics old italian feel. I don't think that needs to be musty tho. The bathrooms and carpets could do with a deeper clean. All that said, we enjoyed our dinner there.
