Came here to dine on New Year's eve, our table was not ready, despite having a reservation, we were seated about an 1 hour later. Our party was 4 adults and 3 kids. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the fried calamari for appetizer (good), buca trio platter (good), peperoni pizza for the kids (good), apple gorgonzola... More

We have been here a couple of times. It is a different kind of place. I love the atmosphere. I know it will not appeal to everybody. The food was very good. The portions are so big that we had dinner again the next night at home. It is not fine dining quality but the food is good and plenty... More

Its only a few days after our New Year's celebration. However, armed with a gift card to BUCA di BEPPO Italian Restaurant, we went to have dinner. Its been a while since 14 family members and co-workers last went there to celebrate anything a few years ago. I had a reservation for two and was promptly and the hostess directed... More

Bucca di Beppo has always been one of our favorite restaurants. We invited friends from out of town to experience the San Francisco Italian style setting. It wasn't good. It started with a waitress with "an attitude." It took 40 minutes to get a bottle of wine. The salad came first. They seemed too busy and understaffed. We had to... More

They were open for Christmas. They even offered turkey and ham dinners. We went Italian. The food was hot and tasty. They have no concept of portion control, so there was a ton of leftovers. The service was slow but accurate. The restaurant is noisy as hell. They seated us 19 minutes after our reservation time. This is a reliable... More

We had an early evening booking with family. We were seated in the downstairs basement which was cosy. Service was fine, the dishes large (we shared mains and desserts) and quite tasty. But it was certainly not outstanding.

Christmas Menu was good. Accept for regular stuffing was very bland. Very basic bread stuffing no flavor it tasted like it had no other seasoning or taste. We had a reservation- we were seated in a basement atmosphere that was very small & cold. It was not room temperature at all. No heat. We had to eat with our coat... More

The glass of red wine with the meal was like being at home. So much food even with the items coming off the lunch menu. From the hotel it only a few steps away, which makes it easy to roll back to the room.

Yes, This is a chain. But it is a fun one and the downtown San Francisco location is a kick. Three floors. 4 busloads of Japanese students came in while we were waiting for our table but it did not effect service at all. They handle it all the time. Order dishes and share family style. A photographer was on... More

We made reservations at 7:15 pm because we knew Thanksgiving would be busy. We had no idea that we'd still have to wait an hour and 15 minutes for our food to finally arrive. Completely incompetent. They offered a Thanksgiving special, but ran out of some of the items from it (No mashed potato? Are you kidding?). The waitress was... More
