We had a lovely dinner here with a large group in the wine cellar. They did a great job of accommodating our group and bringing food out in a timely manner. Food was wonderful and service was first rate!

My husband and I met one of his business associates and his wife for dinner. When we found out we would be in SFO for Thanksgiving week, this was the first reservation I made. Our waiter, although not a youngster, seemed very ill at ease. We ordered 2 bottles of wine, the big appetizer with all the different components, escargot,... More

We went for dinner after seeing Beach Blanket Babylon about a block away. We started with drinks, then had spinach salads and mussels. Main was veal piccata with white veal and beef sweetbreads. Dessert was chocolate torts and an incredible coffee afogato. The waiter was polite, funny and knew his menu. The lights went out for about 20 minutes and... More

This restaurant is in the heart of the Italian neighborhood in San Francisco, North Beach. You are usually greeted with an "It's good to see you again" by the maître D, even if you have never been there. They specialize in classic Italian dishes, and I think their seafood pastas are excellent. They usually have appetizer specials; last time I... More

if you are visiting SF, you gotta drop in North Beach restaurant . It is one of the best Italian restaurants in Bay Area . Also it has a great bar where you can see loads of SF area VIP's. The food is fresh and delicious. I recommend this place it is located on Columbus Avenue and make sure you... More

The atmosphere is old school Italian. That means lots of neighborhood Italian businessmen in suits, in intense discussions, moving from bar to tables. Not a "red sauce"cheap tourist Italian place, which I appreciated. Service friendly but pro old school too, and fast. I think it is a little costly for what you get, but not extravagant at all. Food was... More

Everything was fresh and full of flavor. the best mozzarella caprese. Home made using mama Petroni's recipe. It was all good. Both nights. No wonder it's been there for almost 40 years.

Located on bustling Columbus Avenue this old school Italian place serves up delicious dishes very well prepared. The service is old school also and very professional (and friendly). Worth a visit.

My wife and I had a fantastic dinner here while on holiday in SF. We walked in without a reservation and got a very nice table immediately and very quick service with wine and menus. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the food choices and had some recommendations although we chose our own. The wine was fantastic (a DOCG Gavi... More

Perfect Italian food in a great atmosphere, amazing service. A little more pricey for dinner if you are on a budget, but you can eat a late lunch and enjoy the ambiance. I can not recommend this restaurant enough!
