This was the best restaurant we have eaten in from santa Monica to sf. The starter was exquisite; a selection of calamari, cannelloni Beans, salami, mozzarella and veal. Then all pasta was homemade and the sauces so delicate. All deserts were perfect. We have been to Tuscany and the food was better here. Thankyou for a great meal. You must... More

Husband so thrilled to hear sand dabs on menu but when they came they were not crisply cooked as he had had them before. Disappointed. Had the house wine which at $90 a bottle was super overpriced. Had a Chinese waiter and an Indian sommelier which detracted from whole north beach experience (maitre d' greeted us in Italian which was... More

You not going to go wrong at this place. Great selections, portion size slightly on the small side...I say that only because it was so good. Service is top notice with a nice atmosphere.

Brought here as a treat and found it to be distinctly average. My wife could cook much much better at home and thus for me it's not a treat. Expensive. Wouldn't go back, I can find better easily in this great city

The North Beach Restaurant continues to deliver a spectacular experience. Food, wine and service levels all earn the highest marks. The deserts, getting 'only' 4 stars, is the only part of the experience that is not 5 absolute 5 star. I look forward to visiting for another 20 years.

Having just returned from a 3 week vacation to America, Where we ate out every day, I can safely say that this is the only restaurant that i would not recommend or re-visit. We attended the restaurant with family, having been recommended by the four seasons hotel. Upon arrival, first impressions seemed fine. The Restaurant seemed pleasant as did the... More

In my opinion to be rated excellent everything has to be excellent. From start to finish everything was just the way you would want it, crusty bread, great salad, homemade pasta. We will make this a for sure stop next time in SF.

The minute you step into this Italian restaurant you are in Italy - and travel 30 years back in time. The food is delicious, the servic is ... Italian, and the premises look authenticly Italian. We chose dishes both from the menu and from "today's recommendations". Everything was "perfetto".
