Wished we had found this place for dinner. The menu and food looked fabulous, however we heard the desserts were great so decided to sit in the bar/lounge area for coffee and desserts. The hostess/wait person in the lounge area was so sweet, unlike the front desk hostess who was very snobbish. The desserts were great. Tried a sampler platter... More

I was here for a private event, which was hosted in their private space. I'll assume they were just too busy but the service was pretty disorganized (no one filling up water or wine glasses). The food came out way to slow for a hosted dinner and the main course fish was inedible. The butternut squash risotto, however, was amazing.... More

We were a party of 6 including a 4 year old. The waiters were more than friendly, assisting whenever. The piano player was pleased to see just how the 4 year old danced to his music. The service and food was spectacular! I highly recommend this restaurant.

We decided to pick a restaurant where we can stay up for the fireworks and celebrate. We picked this restaurant because it has a rating of 4 and you are right across from the Ferry building for the fireworks. They charge $50 more for the 2nd seating "2nd seating – 8:30-10pm $145 per person- Four Course prix menu includes party... More

Nice place for a classy dinner! Overall the food was really good but there were some things we did not entirely like. First of all it was too loud. Plus there were some courses that were below our expectations (for example the tasty fois gras was kind of ruined by the seagrass sauce). Their wine list is very good with... More

We had Thanksgiving dinner here this year. Very busy place. Food was good BUT for turkey dinner $75 per person was very high. Our bill for 4 people with tip was almost $600. Crazy expensive. Great waitstaff though.

Recently I enjoyed a business lunch there with nine other people. The food and service were fabulous as was the atmosphere. All of my guests were complimentary of the food. I had the steak and it was prepared to perfection. The only difficulty was parking until I found the valet around the corner. All in all, we had a great... More

On our first visit here in July 2015, we were greeted politely, but informed that no tables were available. If we were adventurous, the hostess suggested, we might get a seat in the kitchen area. We accepted, and were treated to a stunning display of culinary expertise and enthusiasm. The kitchen staff received the orders, prepared the dishes, cooked and... More

We were greeted nicely when we entered, they took our coats and we were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and helpful. The staff provided the level of service you would expect here. The food is stellar as well. We had the scallops, red snapper and braised beef. All great. The beef could have had more sauce but it was... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
