Delicious contemporary Califrnia cuisine

The service is always first rate and food delicious. The dining room is nice but I wish it would take better advantage of the views toward the Ferry Building.

I brought a client to One Market during a business trip to SF. We were seated promptly, and or drink order was taken a few moments later. I had seafood, my DC had pork. Both were perfectly cooked with interesting and tasty veggies. We also ordered the chickpea fruits (yum) and the homemade tater tots (meh). Dinner was excellent, our... More

We had a special function dinner here so menu was limited, fish or steak. We both ordered fish which was good, salad was fresh and nice dessert. Service was good. The appetizers were very good. Bar service good. The restaurant is nicely appointed. We had a large group and the wait staff did a nice job of keeping everyone served.... More

Mad Men may be gone, but One Market remains. If you were a fan of the show, you might find yourself reliving the best of the Mad Men dining experiences in this classy, sophisticated, but decidedly unfussy, dining venue. Bring on the Old Fashioned's, dirty martini's and Manhattan's...they make them as good as anyplace and better than most...then head to... More

I was here for a group dinner for work so our menu options were limited. I selected the filet which was phenomenal! Perfectly cooked and could use a butter knife to cut it it was so tender. We also had seafood stew and sorbet on our menu which also were very good. The people that selected Halibut for their dinner... More

Met colleagues here for a business lunch. Very busy spot. Nice range of choices on the lunch menu. Had the business lunch which included a very good chilled pea soup and a shrimp cavatelli main dish. Very good and prompt service. Would recommend. Good spot at the end of Market near the ferries in the financial district.

I had dinner at One Market on Thursday and was very disappointed. The menu is not interesting and the food is average. I found it difficult to pick an appetizer and an entree that sounded interesting. I ordered the Pork Loin wrapped in bacon which was just fair. My partner had a fish entree that he took a few bites... More

We were visiting SF on a family vacation and booked One Market based on reviews on this site and from reviewing their website. It looked like a nice restaurant to celebrate a family birthday. We booked dinner for a Saturday night for 7:30pm......and to my surprise..the restaurant was dead. There were only 5 other tables with customers. I was immediately... More

Located in the One Market office complex, the restaurant that shares its name is more exciting than a typical restaurant in the lobby. Even on a Monday, there was an energetic bar crowd and a respectable happy hour. The food was good. The lamb entree was very tasty and went well with the Brussels sprouts.

I really liked this restuarant in prior visits but found the service was poor, food was not seasonal and while inventive sounding did not live up to it

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
