I don't know anyone who's had a bad meal at One Market. The food and service is superb. Like most SF restaurants, it's energetic and a bit crowded. But, that's part of the charm!

Great honemade Tator Tots and ketchup. Unfortunately that was all that was good. My waiter 'DLP' was inattentive and didn't bring my Anchor Steam until he was done talking to a lady behind me for 15 minutes (not about her order). I Got it 5 minutes after a very nice gent ran my food out. The crab Louis was pretentious... More

We were at One Market recently during restaurant week (first time), and while the food was ok, it wasn't a particularly great dining experience. (Friends who live in San Francisco chose it, and it may have been because it was close to our hotel.) Service is uneven -- the sommelier offered much too much information, but the waiter(s) barely said... More

We visit San Francisco two or three times a year always looking to experience exceptioanal food, and have never been disappointed until One Market. We chose this place thinking it would be on a par with business partner Bradley Ogden's Lark Creek Inn (as it used to be). For example, my lamb"s tongue appetizer was tasteless and appeared as 5... Although dinner is fine at One Market, lunch is the best in town for those who like innovative, tasty food. Value is good. Ingredients fresh. Foodies will love it. It has been my favorite lunch place for years and seldom misses the mark. Service is adequate and cheerful. The setting on the Embarcadero is fun for people watching.

A colleague recommended One Market, and we were not disappointed. Conveniently located near our hotel, it has a welcoming entrance and warm ambience. It was crab month when we visited, so we tried the crab cakes and crab minestrone soup. The former were a bit small, but all crab and all tasty. The mains were beautifully presented and no less... January and June are two of my favorite months in San Francisco, specifically because of Dine-About-Town, when restaurants all over the city offer 3-course prixe fixe menus for cheap. Last night, my girlfriends and I went to One Market to take advantage of their Dine-About-Town Specials: 3 course meals for $36.95 (standard) or $44.95 (deluxe). Add another $15 for wine... More

Nice location ... beautiful room ... staff seem to think they know what you should eat ... didn't really give much credence to requests because of allergies. We were in a larger party ... the ones who ordered the pork were all disappointed. Mine was still red .... when I requested that it be cooked more ... the waiter made... More

I have dined at One Market numerous times for numerous reasons and have always had very good meals. The atmosphere is upscale and the staff treats you as if you are a VIP. The cocktails, the food and the staff have made One Market one of my favorites. It is easy to find, across from the Ferry Bldg., and Embarcadero... More

It looks very exclusive when you come in, but the welcome of the host is cold as ice, the waitress was polited but very confused and gave us a feeling that everything was out of control. I had crab cakes, very good exquisite taste, and a burger that was also good. The general feeling was that it promises more than... More
