Description: It doesn’t get more local than Calzone's, in the heart of North Beach. Whether you're sitting outside at the heated cafe tables or inside in one of the comfy booths, this sparkling bistro with a decidedly Cal-Euro atmosphere is the perfect place for watching eclectic locals mix with visitors drawn by North Beach's reputation as the hip place to see and be seen. The restaurant has been owned and operated by the same North Beach native since 1986 and is open 365 days a year, serving food continuously from 11:30 am until 1:00 am.

In Little Italy.....lots of tables outside under shade overlooking the road but we chose inside. The decor is great - all sorts of Italian groceries. I chose a veggie pizza which I was amazed to see was an oval shape. One of my companions ordered a Filet Mignon Calzone pizza. Unfortunately the put the wrong filling in but as soon... More

We stayed at the Boheme and in hindsight wished we had eaten at Calzone's again. Just one meal, at a sidewalk table on a Friday afternoon, a little wine, a wonderful pizza, and great people watching....ten feet from the door to our hotel.

We were in San Francisco last week and in North beach looking for a spot for lunch. We decided to try Calzone’s since we were in a pizza and pasta mood, hoping it wasn’t “chain” type of Italian food. The waiter was very nice and very attentive with us. I had the Gnocchi with fontina sauce. My husband had the... More

We went to North Beach for Italian and happened on Calzone's. It was a chilly night, but we sat at the bistro style tables outside since there were overhead heaters. Service was prompt, meals reasonably priced. My wife had a shrimp pasta dinner which was loaded with nine large shrimp. It was tasty. I ordered the chicken and asparagus on... More

I wish we had knocked it out of the park on both of those dishes -- I'm sorry about that, Bob. Thanks for letting us know, though. I hope that your wife really enjoyed her birthday! Sincerely, Andre More

I have been there now several times. Food is good, and you can sit "bistro style" on the street watching the busy little italy quarter, it's like watching cinema while enjoying your pizza or .. calzone ! Pricing very reasonable and the waiters are really good.

Having my own wood burning Pizza oven at home I was not surprised how quick this fresh thin based delicious pizza was eaten with a Caesar Salad and ice cold lager it brought a hard day of sight seeing to a very pheasant end This pizza was perfect and well worth a trip to this restaurant

Well, thank you! This means a lot, especially coming from someone who is well versed in making their own pizza. We would love to have you back for a pizza, salad, and cold beer down the line -- do you make it to San Francisco often? Sincerely, Andre More

Located right in the heart of Little Italy in San Francisco just a few blocks away from Fisherman's Warf. The food and wine were excellent and the outdoor seating was a great bonus.

Truthfully, we were a little hesitant about a restaurant with the name "Calzone's". However, after reviewing the menu outside, we decided to give it a try. We were welcomed by a friendly hostess and were seated quickly. Our waiter came over right away--something that is very important to me. The menu offered several good selections at pretty good prices for... More

A large restaurant with good sized portions, friendly staff and a terrific atmosphere. Seating on several levels, the street seating is excellent for people watching.
