We found this place on our 3rd night stay in SF having eaten chinese in Chinatown, seafood on fisherman's wharf and wanted something traditional Italian for our last evening. Originally we only intended to have a drink there as we had researched Trip Advisor for recommends and was going to eat at another place around the corner. However once we... More

At first we thought it might be some type of self service place since it took the server more than 20 minutes to stop by and take our order. Luckily we were tired and there was water on the table or we would have left. Food was okay but nothing to rave about.

Classic old skool American Italian restaurant. Relatively small and does a brisk business. Very convenient for eating before the Beach Blanket Babylon show. Nothing fancy, it's what your Italian grandmother would serve at home.

Went to Beach Blanket Babylon and was looking for a good restaurant near the show...Had eaten at Capps before, and decided to go back again...Had a wonderful, family-style Italian meal, and food and service were still very good...Not incredible Italian, but very good, and really convenient...Would eat there again....

I enjoyed my meal at Capp's. I was with a group, and we had a limited menu. I had spaghetti, and it was delicious. The bread was good, too. Some people ordered pork and mashed potatoes, and got pasta over the potatoes. When they asked the waiter just waved them off rudely. I know we were a group, thus makes... More

We ate here after being recommended by our hotel. We were a group (16 people) and were struggling to find somewhere that would take a group at a reasonable price. What a great recommendation - we were warmly welcomed, the food was great (particularly the minestrone soup), they looked after us really well and couldn't have been more hospitable. The... More

We were looking for a restaurant in North Beach near the spot where we saw Beach Blanket Babylon and found Capps Corner just 2 doors away. Had a fabulous family-style meal - something for everyone. Service was excellent and the food was delicious.

Our tour group of 40 dined at Capp's one evening. The tables were waiting and we received a warm welcome when we arrived. The staff did an excellent job of taking our orders and serving everyone promptly. The minestrone soup was tasty, but could have been a littler hotter. The lasagna was good (I've had better, but also had worse).... More

This smalI Italian cafe just a few steps from Club Fugazi serves delicious food family style. I had the chicken cacciatore, which was PERFECT----also a delicious salad and Italian wedding soup. The house red wine was very tasty. Friends with me enjoyed the lasagna and the fresh bread. There is just one restroom for each sex.

Next door to beach blanket Babylon, we went in on the off chance and got a table straight away. Italian food and atmosphere at its best. Well worth the money and cheap for a san fran meal. Filling and tasty. Good service, would go again any time.
