Good solid, neighbrhood place

The staff was very attentive. The food was quite good. The place does tend to fill up on weekends, which makes for a very noisy environment. More of a place for large groups and families, than a place for romantic dinner. The manager really wanted to serve us canoli for dessert. But we were... read more

We went with a group of 12 for business. Our table was ready when we arrived. Our waiter was fast, professional, polite and friendly all while providing excellent and attentive service. The selected wine arrived in no time, the food arrived after a healthy wait and was hot and delicious. Even so we were the last group, we never felt... More

I love Italian cuisine and nothing drives me crazy more than going to Italian restaurant just to find out that the only italian thing there is a name. This place is great because it's actually ran by Italians, so food is real and very tasty. They have a great variety of wines and some nice grappas too! Definately recommended.

A little gem of a restaurant , the first we went , we were not that impressed but every time we have gone back ( it is a favorite of our kids), we appreciate it more and more. First the service is very nice, friendly and professional waiters, the food is great, they even were willing to make a spaghetti... More

We lunched here two days in row. Real Italian food in this family restaurant. Italian waiters and owner. Casual white tablecloths service. Four pasta dishes we had in two days all excellent. Highly recommend. Great value.

Food is just ok - The place feels tiny and for sure in need of a renovation - Service wasn´t fantastic either so to me it´s overated and overpriced.

Placed in a not so good neighborhood, should also be better kept. The interior does not feel nice, even for an Italian simple restaurant. Appetizers are expensive and not so good, on top of a small portion (they say it´s for 3!!). Main course (pasta was good). Service was lousy, I waited 15min for another glass of wine. More expensive... More

If you are looking for great italian food, this is a must. The variety was excellent, as well as the quality and the service. Our waiter was italian but he spoke fluently english and spanish. Dont' forget the desserts and ask for some of the best californian wines.

House wine was outstanding. Antipasta was very nice - great olives and meats.. There were several in our party and we each ordered a dish to share family style but my Saltimbocca was so good I hardly wanted to try the lasagna, eggplant parmesan, or fussili with sun dried tomato cream sauce. Wished I had room for dessert - it... More

The waitress was very friendly and the food very good. It was nothing outstanding but a fun little restaurant to stop at.

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
