Recommended rightly by lots of guides this is bang in the middle of SF's Tracey North Shore, the Soho of the west coast!! It's a huge restaurant with an open area and a row of slightly weird private booths at the back. Service is very good and the food is, well, garlicky! Nicely cooked tasty meats and seafood but every... More

Had a salad and arugula pesto pasta dish, which was delicious. The service was a little lacking, but they were friendly and nice.

Gave this place a shot based on reviews. Overall I wasn't really impressed. We went for lunch on a Saturday. Much to my surprise the place was empty. They gave us a small table by a window which was nice. However, shortly after we sat another group of four came in and they crammed them in the table right behind... More

I enjoy going hear now and then, the service is good, food is good and the place have a nice atmosphere. prices are been pop up a bit and are at the limit of value for money. house wine not recommended as you can get a more decent bottle of wine from the menu for perhaps same or less price.... I love garlic. While it may seem like a gimmick, you get a god meal in a pub like setting. It gets a crowd as it is a tourist destination, but with reservations, the wait is short.

Don't go here if you are not ready for GARLIC!!! If you are ready for GARLIC!!! you are going to love this place. We went with a group of seven for a very filling and leisurely lunch. Everyone found their food delicious, and the server was very friendly and helpful. We shared one of the seafood platter things as an... More

So obviously you have to love garlic ... but in all honesty it's not so overpowering as one may think because the chefs know how to properly prepare food and - more importantly - how to avoid making everything taste like garlic! Flavors are delicious, atmosphere is fun and quirky and the staff is just plain old nice! Great place!... More

Had the opportunity to eat at the Stinking Rose last month with my husband and two good friends of ours. The place was super busy, which was fine since we had a reservation but the room was sat in was so hot! The temp in that room must have been close to 90 degrees so first sitting down wasn't fun.... hopefully you won't have a business meeting right after eating here because you will oozing garlic out of every pore by the time you are done. But oh so worth it. 40 clove garlic chicken. Wonderful seafood. Pork chops to die for. Warm friendly staff and good affordable food. Nice selection of other garlic products such as pickled garlic, garlic... More

We had reservations for 9:00 for a party of 16 and arrived 45 minutes early as the walk Beach Blanket Babylon was shorter then we thought. The got us a table 15 minutes early. The drinks were honest, the food was great and the services was excellent. We will go back.
