Great food, great service! An entertaining evening all-round!

It's been almost 10 years since I last ate at The Stinking Rose. Made a last minute reservation and was fortunate to get a table in the back room with their booths! I didn't know this part existed! Very theatrical with the black and white curtains and chandeliers! Our servers were in good humour... read more

So on my recent trip to America we were there for 11 nights and went to Vegas and SF. On our second night in SF we visited the Stinking Rose, and it did not disappoint. I may be biased because I love garlic, and in this place you can't get enough of it, however the main meals don't overload it... More

4 of us went to dinner at the Stinking Rose. The food was excellent, the service was very good also, I highly recommend this restaurant, although I did not like being seated by the drafty window.

bang in the heart of San Francisco's 'eating' streets. A word about the ambience. It IS different. And quite tastefully done, I thought. Constrained for space, as you may expect in a restaurant in a location like this. Very prompt service. and very good Italian food.

We were cautious about trying this restaurant, because we heard they put garlic in absolutely everything, but we didn't need to be. We had two of the appetizers and they were amazing! They elevate garlic from a food masking agent to a luxury food. Well worth the visit. We are planning to go back and try the garlic prime rib!

We were a party of three and had dinner there twice in the span of three days. There is plenty of seating. On the first night we were seated in an area with some traffic, although the noise level was not too bad. On the second night we got a booth/alcove which was much quieter, although our water glasses were... More

The food here was incredible. It's a garlic restaurant so most of the dishes feature garlic. The meatloaf was the best I have ever tasted and the fish I had was incredible. Service was excellent and decor was interesting to look at. I had the garlic infused ice cream with mole sauce and it was incredible. Overall, a total win!

We got the "garlic soaking in a hot tub" for an appatizer! The garlic melts in your mouth like butter. Really cute and eclecticly decorated inside. I got the gnochetti and my husband got the short ribs. All was delicious. We'd go here again and again. Great service and amazing food.
