Great Tiki Experience

Great tiki bar with strong drinks and a relaxed vibe. Located in the Fairmont Hotel, the "lagoon" is the old hotel pool. I love the new use for the old. The band playing on a boat beneath the rain was also a highlight. Would definitely recommend as a fun spot to grab drinks with friends in SF.

What a great place! We got here early on a Friday nights (thankfully), when we left and saw the long line of San Fransisco hipsters, we knew we wouldn't have gotten in otherwise. Great drinks, good food and itchy atmosphere!

Walked in after a short wait in line to encounter another line...line dancing. To achy breaky heart. Luckily when I turned around there was no line to leave.

Our local cousin brought us here for Happy Hour drinks and the Polynesian buffet. Drinks were fair for big city prices, and the food was good. The wings and spring rolls were a table favorite. The theming was great too. Dark lighting, palm trees, pirate ship woods, mast and sails. There's even a pool in the middle of the space... More

We had drinks here on 2 separate occasions. It is an experience you want to try. Vintage Tiki Room atmosphere, complete with thunder storm and rain over the "pool". The drinks are stiff but well made so enjoy the Polynesian lifestyle that our parents thought was cool in the 50's

we booked online via the open table app long before we travelled to San Francisco because we wanted to see what the fuss was all about !!!! we had a lovely evening here, eating & listening to the band. there isn't a MASSIVE choice on the menu but more than enough to chose from for our party but the dishes... We prefer gin and tonics but when in Paris be a parasite. Started with a mai tai - the drink comes in a coconut cup and simply stated it was the perfect balance of sweet, sour and bitter. Next up was a zombie and once again it was amazing! The bartenders were machines who create great and consistently delicious drinks.... More

Very unexpected while staying at the Fairmont that the basement had been turned over to 'secret club'. Thankfully we'd booked in advance as the queue on a Saturday night was almost out to the street. Lovely evening dinner by the pool side with a fun band playing great tunes while bobbing up and down in a small raft. Thunder lightening... More

+ves Good for large groups. Service just about kept up with us (2 large tables) The not-so-goods Food was average and gloopy. We ordered a selection of chicken and fish dishes. All in all there was too much sauce and not enough quality meat, meaning there were mountains of uneaten food after we left. The band. Hardly heard them despite... More

The food was ok but the place really is more style over substance. Had fresher tasting meals at PF Changs. Cocktails were nice and atmosphere good but maybe not worth the money.

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
