Great Buffet!

Has a good selection of soups, sandwiches, and salads. The meat is sliced right there and the sourdough bread is fresh. Good beer selection and an "interesting" piano player at night. Half a block from Union Square, so great for a nightcap after one of the bus tours.

Had a couple of drinks in here and also had a meal each - the roast dinner. Loved it, although the guy who served you the roast was scary and abrupt - you didn't want to ask him questions, I think he'd have eaten me!! Bar staff friendly though and loved the live piano player and singer - very amusing... More

Food was ok, need to clean displays. Dust/dirt on signs off putting...is the kitchen clean? Obviously did not go back there, but dining room made me wonder.

We had thought we'd eat dinner here, but it was St. Patty's Day Weekend, and was very crowded in the evenings. Instead we opted for breakfast where it was less crowded, but we had a great meal! The atmosphere here is very neat, and you can tell this is a family business that knows what it is doing. Great food... More

By chance my wife and I were looking for Breakfast in Union Square, when we found Lefty O'Doul's. We had a terrific breakfast and were so impressed we came back the following day for an even better lunch. We had great food and plenty of atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I've been coming to Lefty's whenever I want a comfort food fix in the City. As soon as you walk in to this high-ceiling Hofbrau/old-time sports bar place grab utensils and a tray and order ala carte. Pass the sodas and order a draft or Bloody Mary instead. You and your mate will leave full and satisfied for less than... More

Strong drinks, lively crowd, great smelling food. Like any Irish Pub, you expect a good crowd of thirsty people and if you are going to eat, you expect some excellent corned beef and cabbage (and maybe some fish and chips). Lefty O'Doul's was unique when it comes to Irish Pubs, they actually have an amazing looking buffet and carving stations.... More
