Great place for casual dining especially before or after Giants game

Came here for early dinner before Giant's game. Opens at 5:00pm so easily out before 7;00 pm game & only 1 block to AT &T. Nice, industrial atmosphere & seating outside. Full bar & lots of craft beer choices. Split calamari appetizer. Chopped Caesar tasty as were beef sliders. Mussels in saffron... read more

We dined here before the Giants game last night. After waiting 30+ min, we were seated outside. Unfortunately, there were only three stools so one of us had to stand. The hostess apologized and said we'd have to grab a stool after a patron got up and left - not a great start to our dinner. We wondered if someone... More

Definitely a bit pricey but great atmostphere and food. The mac & cheese was ok and the mexican street corn was the best i've ever had. Wings and burger were also good.

Stopped in for a dinner after a great show....wow...they had this Corn chowder and bbq pork soup.....that was a game changer! We all had the soup and loved it, and all of our dinners were great (I had fried chicken) but the soup was really out of this world. Prices were reasonable, place wasn't at all crowded, and I'm glad... More

It has been a few years since I ate here and things appear to have changed. I had dinner here a few years ago and I remember a more elegant looking white tablecloth restaurant. My most recent visit was for lunch and the white table clothes have been replaced with old-fashioned wooden table and all the servers are youngsters so... More

Went here today before the Giants game to eat. Nothing great but decent enough to eat at. Got a beer with burger and friends.

Stopped in here on way to Giants game. Ordered a couple of apps and drinks. Food was ok but very pricey for what you get. The alcohol was even more costly. A double of captain and coke will run you $22.50... Service was good though.

Only a block away from the ballpark, Paragons is a nice choice for a bite to eat or drink before or after giant games. It is always crowded and fun with people coming and going to the game.Try the mussels. It is a little pricey but beats the ball park for food value. They have a wonderful bar and it is always... More

India Pale Ale Craft Beer - Fantastic! Mushroom Cigars: Mushroom Duxelle rolled into phyllo dough and baked served with a great dipping sauce. - Fantastic! Pork Chop: Excellent seasoning, but a bit overcooked and dry - Good Mac 'n Cheese: I prefer Trader Joe's Frozen - Fair Potato Ballls with Bacon Jam: All hype, just country style breakfast potatoes with... Was with an old friend for dinner here. Good scotch selection. Very nice flatiron steak and very accommodating to special dietary requests. Pleasant, cool dark atmosphere in the evening. The wait staff was very nice. Overall just a good, pleasant dinner where I didn't mind paying the bill. If there is a Giants game on it might be hectic. Sidewalk... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
