This was our second visit. We had dined there on our previous visit to San Francisco. This time we took our 18 year old grandson who is an adventurous eater. He was not disappointed by the cheese plate or the stuffed squid. My husband had the pasta and I the trout. Both were delish. The only let down was the... More

Just got back home from a very delicious meal!! I had the trout. It had a wonderful hint of mustard and seasonings that knocked my socks off! There was raisins and fresh asparagus lovingly sprinkeled on top and the butter oozing on my plate. I've eaten in Paris and this tasted so damn authentic really great!!!! My chocolate cake melted... Cute little restaurant tucked down a side street. We didn't have a reservation but didn't have to wait for a table on a Sunday evening. Our waitress was friendly, but the service was terribly slow. We waited at least 45 minutes to get our appetizer which was only a shared charcuterie plate - very stingy for $21 by the way... More

I was so fortunate to visit Cafe Claude on Bastille Day! They had decorated the charming place tastefully and offered an incredible Wine Flight the Sauvignon/Chardonnay blend and killer Pinot Noir stood out as I relished the stellar duck pâté as well as the Chabichou Goat Cheese...they were the definition of EXCELLENT!!! The hostess and my server, Nicolette, was delightful... More

My fiancée's brother recommended this place. It's a classic French bistro with classic fare. The dining rooms were small and overcrowded and they had a tented patio in front of the main entrance. We ordered a dry creek valley rose which was available on tap in a carafe. We started with three vey nice cheeses and a hearty multigrain bread,... More

This is a nice little spot down an alley way which is reminiscent of the small cafés in Europe. Great spot for a couple of small group. Reasonable priced food, the wines aren't the best though. Try the steak tartar, made right at your table!

We got this recommendation from some locales. It was just a lovely place near Union Square. The stuffed calamari was superb. Having live jazz in the background was a real treat. It was a great meal in a great location.

Cafe Claude is located in an alley way in the French Quarter in San Francisco. You can choose to sit out-side under the canopy or inside...I prefer inside as heaters for the canopy area can make it either too hot or too cold. So if you go, try to get a table inside. The food is excellent as are the... More
