Wine flights. Napa wines only. Small plates of tasty things. Try the scallops and cheese flight desert.

This nice little restaurant is just off of Union Square and offers excellent wines and small plate dishes. We shared three small plates: organic Idaho Russet potato gnocchi, the peaches and heirloom tomatoes salad and the pan seared scallops. All three plates were delicious. Wine is offered by the bottle, glass or flights to taste the different varieties. The service... More

Came for brunch and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes as well as the delicious food. Another perk...fresh squeezed orange juice. The juice can be a little pricey, but well worth it.

Shared a selection of appetizers as a meal with wines to match. Everything was great and the service was terrific. Chatted with tables nearby and everyone seemed to be locals always a great recommendation when you are from out of town. Central to everything we were staying near union square and it was just a short walk. From the outside... More

The hostess maneuvered tables and chairs to get us in on a busy night. That set the tone for great service and great food. While on vacation we asked a few servers where they would go to eat and First Crush was a suggestion. I like Manhattans and they serve there's with a brandied cherry, 3 cherries later I was... More

The waiter had no manners and was not interested whether we enjoyed our meal. Felt rushed and was glad to leave. Food was just ok.

If you're looking for a light meal and you're in the Tenderloin/Union Square area, First Crush would be a good choice. It's a local cocktail bar with a nice little menu and excellent wine list and easy to spot on the corner. Inside there are two dining areas, one slightly below ground, and the second around the bar on the... More

Our concierge recommended this place. We had just arrived and wanted something we could walk to with our son. The place reminded me of a small restaurant in New York. Eclectic menu, friendly staff, and good wine list. If we lived here, we would definitely be back!

Walked by this place on the way somewhere else. Turned around and didn't regret a moment of it. Perfect service, delightful food (I had the scallops, unbelievable). Great wine list with knowledgable wait staff to help you decide. It's small and tucked away in the middle of the Union Square area but it was not at all touristy. This may... More

Went with a group of 8 colleagues attending the IUPAC Congress. Staff were helpful and attentive. Appetizers were excellent especially the Frito misto. I had the halibut. Was okay - maybe a little dry but still pretty tasty. Wine selection was excellent. I would also recommend the truffles to share to finish off!
