Good food but overpriced!

A group of six friends dined at First Crush this week to celebrate the Holiday Season. The restaurant was crowded, the service was excellent and the food was pretty good. The downside was the portions were small and the meal, especially the wines which were not first rate quality, were... read more

We decided on the 3 course meal because it was restaurant week in SF. The food was exceptional. But the wait was incredible. Took over 2 hours for all 3 items (salad, dinner plate, and desert). I had also got the wine pairing. We were near the bar and I did get my drinks quickly (and the bar tender felt... More

Nice restaurant with good, robust food. Nothing knocked me off the chair but I can't complain either. They had modern food but nothing that stood out. Service was OK but could have been more attentive and a bit more caring. Although the food was OK I don't have a reason to go back to First Crush. There are many other... More

Visited this place since it was around the corner from hotel. We decided to stop by to get some wine and appetizers. A small restaurant but good food. We ordered a cheese and meat plate. A little on the pricey side but it is San Francisco.

We stopped here on short notice before seeing a show at the opera house. They were able to seat us quickly, and even asked if we were heading somewhere after to make sure we could make it on tome. The wait staff was very kind and was able to accommodate some strict dietary restrictions (no gluten and no dairy). They... More

A group of six friends dined at First Crush this week to celebrate the Holiday Season. The restaurant was crowded, the service was excellent and the food was pretty good. The downside was the portions were small and the meal, especially the wines which were not first rate quality, were over-priced. An appetizer with 2 small scallops and two Brussels... More

Right across the street from Parc 55. A quiet looking little corner that we wouldn't have given a second look if wasn't too exhausted from a long trip to look any further. Extremely pleasantly surprised. The attentive pleasant bartender Gio help us seat at the bar since they do take reservations. He kindly offered us a complimentary glass of wine... More

We had friends that have been here in the past and they recommended it. We were in the city for a Saturday night and thought we would try it. We were surprised that at 7pm on a Saturday night the place was half empty. I believe our waiters name was Marco. We told him we would SHARE the beet salad... More

The concierge at my hotel recommended this low key place with great food and wine. This was a hit. It is low key (my group while dressed nicely we were all in jeans as we were looking to shed the suits we wore all day) but also fine enough to go with clients. Our server was fantastic and the dishes... More

Just a short walk from the Hilton at Union Square, First Crush distinguished itself immediately by how friendly the staff were: very engaging and welcoming. The food was great, well prepared and well presented . The ingredients seemed to be farm fresh and the menu appealed to all tastes. The assortment of wine was unique and allowed for us to... More
