My husband and I visited SF and ate at three different restaurants, three nights in a row. North Beach, Millennium and Plouf. By far, Millennium was the best. The food was delicious and creative. This is actually a VEGAN restaurant, and it was excellent in every way. A wonderfully decorated restaurant with a large central bar for gathering and last minute diners, this restaurant was packed until 10:45 on a Friday night. I love vegetarian cuisine but would much rather enjoy the vegetarian dishes at some of the "more famous" restaurants. It is almost like they are hiding the vegatable flavors with seasoning. more

I made reservations through opentable.com. When asked whether this was a special occasion, I indicated that it was my husband's birthday. I didn't expect anything special, but, since it's part of the reservation process, I indicated such. My husband specifically requested dining here for our vacation. I am not vegetarian, but my son is. The other reviews say it all - excellent, excellent, excellent. Call way in advance for reservations. BUT they let us eat at the bar. more

We enjoyed the ambiance of the Millennium as well as the presentation and taste of every course. The food was exceptionally prepared and seasoned, not bland. One of us is a vegetarian, the other a meat-eater, and we both agree that we would go to the Millennium for a special gourmet dinner the next time we're in San Francisco. more

My husband took me here on our first date 2 years ago. I am vegetarian so he was obviously out to impress me by making reservations at Millenium. Job done. As soon as I walked in, I knew we were going to have an amazing time. It's a really swanky place and I think I may have been slightly underdressed... more

While I dropped a considerable amount of money treating a party of 4, you're going to do that at any nice restaurant. We all were amazed at the quality and selection of food and drinks.
