Stellar Top-Shelf Vegan Restaurant (losing lease in May 2015)

This 100% vegan restaurant is expensive but worth every dime! We had the pre-fixe seasonal harvest meal for $55 + $26 for the wine pairings. Every course was phenomenal and the wines were great too. Can't recall all the details but there were some tasty fritters, portobello mushrooms, potato cakes... read more

We booked a table 8 weeks in advance as we had heard such good things about this Vegetarian place, we were not disappointed. The food was simply fantastic with your taste buds being teased at every opportunity, food that I had never heard of or experienced before. The service was simply brilliant and the positioning of the tables allowed you... More

The food was good but overrated and over priced in my opinion. We took our daughter there for her birthday celebration. She had the Spring Meal which was several courses. The portions were small for the price. They are definitely making a killing on these meals. The mushroom tamale had one small mushroom inside which was very disappointing for the... More

Really great food and staff, fine ambience. Delighted with our prix fixe 3 course meal with wine pairings, and delighted with the price. The rent is going up, and the owners are retiring after > 20 years at the end of April. Some of the senior staff and one owner are re-opening in Oakland, might call it Millennium, maybe something... I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. I got there around 8:30pm on a Tuesday night and it was packed. I was eating alone so I got a spot at the bar. The sommelier knew her stuff and recommended a great Gewürztraminer (and let me try it first, which is always good). It was surprisingly dry and really good. The food... More

Since hearing that Millennium will be closing its SF doors (and hopefully relocating to Oakland) I have campaigned to have every possible dinner event that I am involved with held there. I am used to having 1 option at most restaurants, and its usually a crumbly or soggy vegan burger, so coming to Millennium is overwhelmingly great. I think I... More

We went to Millennium after much urging of our veg friends... They claimed this was a beautiful fine dining establishment that had a wide variety of delicious food and a great romantic feel... We found it to not quite live up to these claims. We arrived right at 7 for our reservation, and were told to wait along with a... More

Amazing fine dining experience! Although the decor was a little dated and the price is on the higher side, the service was attentive. For entree we tried the roasted potatoes and the buckwheat flatbread - the flatbread was absolutely amazing and the highlight of the night! For mains we had the gnocchi and a mexican dish which were both cooked... More

A mixed review; went to Millennium for an after holiday dinner with friends because we wanted to go one last time before they closed. Décor was kind of run down, lighting was dim and the banquette where we were seated had the plastic crumbling off the fabric. Timing was off the entire meal. There was a long wait for the... More

We’ve eaten at Candle79 in New York City and Vedge in Philadelphia. Millennium has them both beat for flavorful, creative and subtle food. All 4 of the appetizers - seared brussell sprouts, flash fried trumpet mushrooms, tofu buns, and pistachio-stuffed dates - were excellent, with the mushrooms as a stand-out. The buckwheat flatbread with herbed cheese and mushrooms was rather... More
