I went on a midweek evening at around 7pm and was seated immediately at the oyster bar counter. The (standing room only) cocktail bar area was bustling and packed, but the sitting areas at the restaurant (while crowded) had seats at most points in time. The staff were very friendly and the lady who took my order made sure I... More

Went for lunch and sat at oyster bar inside: Pros: - Great view of bay - Great inside restaurant atmosphere Cons: - Service from young server was at most average and dis-engaged. I usually like some discussion since that's what one tips for but the conversation was at most sterile and did server did not seem to be interested in... More

We happened upon this restaurant by chance and were attracted to it by the very long line of diners waiting to get in. Since we love oysters, we figured it would be a good place to go ahead and try since all of these diners waiting must definitely know what they're waiting for! And we weren't disappointed! The fried anchovies... More

We have made a stop at Hog Island in the Ferry Building a regular event when we are in SF. However, the tiny size of the old space made for unbelievable lines and wait times. But those are in the past as they have finally gotten the neighboring spaces and as a result, wait is more like 20 minutes even... More

A busy place with an industrial look. Fresh tasty seafood. Well located along the waterfront. There is a nice view of the water from most tables.

Great seafood and outdoor seating with a view. My husband had 3 dozen Oysters, so clearly he was a fan. He had a mixed dozen on the half shell and 2 dozen from the oven. All delicious! Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Much to my surprise, I had a very good version of shrimp and grits.... More

Based on TA reviews, we put this place on our must visit list. We were very disappointed-long wait for cramped seating (but at least we didn't have to sit at one of the communal tables) and very poor service. We ordered the ceviche for an appetizer, which was overpriced, underportioned and somehow creamy, but flavorful. My husband got the seafood... More

We were looking for an Oyster Bar and stumbled across this beauty, excellent service food was out to us quickly. We had oysters, and they were delicious, I followed that with their fish stew it was fantastic very tasty. Price point was very reasonable as well we highly recommend this place for lunch.
