We stopped in for a drink - wall to wall people and fresh shucked oysters from many sources. A friendly bartender (Brian!) and craft drinks.

We have been coming here for the last 8 years. They never disappoint! The Kumamotos are our favorite and they are so fresh, tiny, tasty and briney. We also had the steamed clams and they were in a chorizo sausage broth, super good. They remodeled last year taking over the little restaurant next door. The place is so much bigger,... More

Decided to stop in cus a friend was raving about it. The staff was nice. we ordered a dozen raw oysters, grilled cheese, fries and the stew. The oysters tasted fine. The rest of the meal was okay. nothing really stood out from the other dishes.

Fresh Oysters, cold wine, ocean air, what more could you ask for. We went after the Labor Day baseball game, of course the place was packed and there was more than an hour wait but determined to get fresh oysters before leaving the coast we waited it out. The line moved very quickly and no one seemed to be too... More

Finally there was no line outside tonight at the Hog Island Oyster Company and I was seated promptly at the chef's table. A nice piece of bread appeared in front of me and with the excellent service of a competent waitress I ordered beer, oysters and their famous clam chowder. What a delight to have good simple food - simply... More

I have to say---between this place and Tadich.....dang hard choice! This restaurant was the best seafood stew and clam chowder I have ever had. Fresh, nice, and easy! Relaxed and easy going staff was probably the kicker. Oysters were fresh and probably among the best in the city. Thank you guys so much! Best Meal! Appreciate you guys a lot!

Always stop here when at the Ferry Building & have never been disappointed. Lively, vibrant place with a usual wait time during peak hours. Worth the wait though. Sampler oyster platter is a great choice, good starter items (recent order of cod-filled hushpuppies was awesome!), salads, and sliders. Fun people-watching & amazing views. Check it out when at the Embarcadero.

Great and fresh food, best chowder I had! This restaurant is well located and seems busy but it's worth the wait. Would go there again!
