We were expecting more. It was good, but from the online reviews and prices, I was a bit let down. Our server acted like he was just going through the motions. The rolls were average to not very good. Our app and sake was the best part.

Ozumo was recommended by the Fairmont concierge and it didn't disappoint. The classical nigiri and sashimi pieces were excellent - fresh and good quality. The modern dishes on the appetizer menu and the hot kitchen were also outstanding. The sake list is impressive and the waiters take the time to go into details of what to recommend. It is not... We went with a group of friends to this restaurant. The sashimi is amazing and the lobster roll and other rolls were also great. I found the price of sashimi rather extreme ($50 for two pieces) but perhaps that is expected in San Francisco. Given the amount of sushi we ordered we found the service to be slow and average.... This is one of the best Sushi places I know, we asked for the recommendation from the kitchen and what they than brought was excellent. Quality, temprature and size were perfect. Its very expansive but worth every dollar.

This is my favorite sushi place in San Francisco. Great atmosphere, great sushi, very good service. Excellent wine list. The Josepf Phelps 2013 Pinot Noir is a great buy and a real treat.

Food was beautifully prepared and tasty however the tasting menu took forever to get out to us. Charming and informative waitress helped and we were given free endamame (!). Location and exotic ingredients probably the reason for the exorbitant pricing.

Looking for an ideal venue to ring in the new year...Ozumo in San Francisco is amazing...and the sushi is great. Well located in the Bay Bridge...and perfect to view the fireworks. We booked a late dinner sitting...21:15. The service was good, noting that the place was packed for New Year's Eve. We took an Uber from our hotel, an easy... More

The place has good food and fine choice so it's a fair option for sushi fans. I didn't find it to be a special place however. It's quite expensive, every dish is beautifully served but of a small size. The place is quiet with relaxing atmosphere. So, something worth to try if budget allows.

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
