Our waitress spilled the miso soup on my lap (thankfully it landed closer to my knee) to start the meal off. But, life happens (it's all part of the experience as my wife will say). Everything thing else about the dinner was terrific. It always is. I've been to Ozumo a dozen+ times and have always had a great time.... More

A colleague took me here and I was not disappointed. Certainly there are places to get cheaper Japanese food in San Francisco but its a very fine place indeed and I really enjoyed it. Definitely a new favorite is San Francisco !

Came for a birthday dinner this year. The restaurant has great views, ambience ( quiet in back, frothy at the bar), excellent waitstaff, and superb food. Our waiter, a fun and sophisticated woman, guided us well and showed us the price on our $40 sake bottle before ordering it (in contrast to another reviewer who had a $500 sake bill... More

We sat at the bar for about an hour before dinner. Great happy hour prices and service. Dinner was excellent with many daily fresh sushi specials and great service. Probably the best all around sushi I have had in San Francisco.

Great food choices in the lounge. We had the garlic soy edamame, chicken katsu, ribs and the sushi rolls offered on the happy hour menu. We enjoyed the spicy tuna, California roll, and the ugani roll. They had Kirin and Saporro on draft.

I have had a lot of different sushi in many places, but this was definately one of the best I ever had. The fish war superfresh, the varieties enourmous, and it was arrangend perfectly, just as you would expect it in Japan. The restaurant itself is very stylish, they have a huge bar with a huge menue of Sakes and... More

Fristly, please plan ahead as it is usually filled especially during weekends. If you are a large group, you could ask for a room for yourself which lets you have a peaceful enough conversation. While the Sushi is good, so is their Cheese Cake :)

Creative sushi chefs helped us pick some of the best rolls i've ever had. The wine list is expansive and the bar is well stocked. The service was a bit slow this night, but the house was packed. I will be returning next time i'm in San Francisco.

Food and decor are good but don't go if you want to be able to hear each other speak. Service average...I found myself trying to catch the eye of our server!

I went there with my girlfriend without a reservation but they were happy to sit us at the sushi bar. The place has a nice amibance and is not so loud you can't chat but not quiet either. We had several dishes all well presented and of generous portions. Yes it is expensive but it is good quality and one... More
