Wonderful Location, Great Service, Great Food

The restaurant is right off Union Square and we were pleased to learn that the main seating area and bar are now on the main floor (we haven't been here for a while). Went there on Valentine's day. Service was impeccable. Had a porterhouse based on friends' recommendation. This is one of the best steakhouses in the bay area but it all depends on your personal preferences on the kind of meat. Salad was better than expected, but souffle was only so so. Brought my own bottle of cabernet but corkage fee was... More

Food was typically good. Morton's food is always good just not, in my opinion, good for your health. Who doesn't like butter soaked steak? After a late Friday night flight we finally arrived at the Westin at 1050 pm. Concierge let us know that Morton's would seat us up to 11pm. Quick call to the maitre d confirmed that had... More

We recently stopped by Morton's during their 'Happy Hour' to enjoy quick bar bites. While the 'Bar Bite' menu is not extensive, nor is it expected to be, they let you order from the regular menu, should you so desire. The food was typical Morton's. The wait staff were bar staff, and the vibe was a bar. We will definitely... More

Staying at the Kensington Hotel for a week during a conference, this invariably became our meeting place at the end of the day for drinks and bar food. Great service and drinks, and friendly staff who pushed the closing time by a bit each day for us to drink more.

What you should expect from a restaurant of this quality (and expense). The seafood chowder starter was good, as were the steaks. It is clearly aimed at the corporate market and whilst we enjoyed it, they do know how to charge (and I happily pay for a good meal). Service was good but this is a big venue and it... More

The place underwent remodeling and restructuring. In most cases, this means worse but more expensive than before. It's the case with Morton's. The restaurant has expanded and lost its meager feel of intimacy. Now it's a dark hall where everyone eats steaks prepared haphazardly: at our table, one was really raw, most of the others were too well-done and the... More

An iconic steakhouse with a reputation and prices to match. Absolutely nothing to fault except the bill but for that price I have eaten in michelin starred restaurants
