After researching Italian restaurants in North Beach, we are so happy that we found this perfect spot just 3 blocks from the Hotel Mayflower where we stayed. The Nob Hill Cafe has wonderful Italian food that ranges from $10-20 per person, excluding salads. It is very small and we did well by walking in just after they opened at 5:00... More

Nob Hill Cafe is a tiny quaint restaurant that we stumbled across. We just had wine and appetizers before the crowds starting lining up and we realized we lucked across a local gem. The food was very good but the foccacia bread was out of this world. Wish we were hungrier because I feel we missed out on some tasty... More

My son (who's very picky!) suggested we eat here for dinner because we've always had great food and fun here. So we returned and had yet another lovely meal in this tiny treasure of a restaurant. Btw, the focaccia bread is awesome! It's true that they don't accept reservations, so plan to nurse a glass of wine out front as... More

The restaurant does not take reservations and is immensely popular. So we got there early. At11:45 three of our party of five arrived. We were told that we couldn't be seated until the rest of the party was present. I could totally understand because the venue is very small. But since it was slow, they seated us anyway. By 12:30... Went for lunch on the recommendation of our hotel valet. Great call. Hand made pizzas and pasta with the chef's preparing right in front of the diners. Warning - this place is small and quaint. An easy walk fron the Fairmont or Stanford. Our waitress was excellent with a great personality. You gotta eat here if you like Italian.

Really tasty food , and good price really nice atmosphere and friendly staff only problem is it's popular and u are waiting outside for a table which isn't great in San Fran as it can be cold, but it's worth the wait

Well this little hole in the wall was an absolute delight. lamb shanks and mash on a very cold windy Saturday evening was perfect after a day in Napa Valley. This quaint little restaurant had so much personality, I felt like I had stepped into a Meg Ryan movie. Very cosy fit, not much room which only added to the... More

We are a family of 5, 2 parents and 3 teenagers. We had a great meal at Nob Hill. Prices were reasonable, atmosphere were good and food quality was very good. I had a seafood over linguine dish but it was done with a soy sauce that was a twist for me and a nice variation from the traditional dish.... More

First time at this quaint neighborhood restaurant and am so happy we went. There is nothing fancy about the place, but when the service is quick and good, and the food is delicious, who needs fancy! I had one of the specials, a pasta with chicken and peas in a lemon sauce and it was perfection. Get there early if... More
