I made a point of returning to Nob Hill Cafe on my last trip to SF. An easy place to find a queue out the door any night of the week, this place has a great vibe. The staff are friendly and the food is very good. Come hungry!

I've eaten here twice and have never been disappointed. The food is great!!! The service is friendly. When it's warm, enjoy the neighborhood.

Nob Hill Cafe offers a good lunch, with great food and somewhat slow but friendly service Their dinner is the same menu but very crowded at night

loved that it is so close to the Fairmont, reasonably priced and so cosy. Have to be prepared to wait for tables and breakfast/brunch only on weekends sadly

We wanted a light, fresh dinner in the neighborhood. This was the spot close to our hotel. Delicious ravioli and salad. Easy walk from nob hill hotels, no steep hills! :-)

Nob Hill Café doesn't take reservations, so you may need to wait a bit for a table unless you go early. We enjoyed a glass of wine at one of the outside tables and then were seated after ~30 minutes on a Tuesday evening. The special Linguine with Seafood was great with lots of calamari, mussels and shrimp in a... More

Was super busy so we had to wait outside with a bottle of red wine whilst waiting for a table to arrive but this wasn't a problem for us (plus, you should note that we didn't book and turned up quite late, so it was great that they could seat us at all). The food was good, not amazing, but... More

This restaurant is tucked away, a few streets away from the Fairmont in Mason Street, so a terrific location if you happen to be staying at the Fairmont. This little restaurant is incredibly busy. We like to eat early and would arrive at 6:00pm and struggle to find a table! A sign of a good food. It is operated on... More

Really good food with all of the classic Italian standards, but they seem to be lighter and more subtle. Enjoyed the special of limoncelo pasta with chicken. It feels very European as everything is in pretty tight quarters - but the service is great. Depending on where you're seated, you can watch the antics of the kitchen which is remarkably... More

This is a little gem that you may miss if you are not on a travel site. It is first come, first serve and it is small. Both times we went, we managed to not have a wait to be seated but realized quickly that was because we came early. Within 30 minutes there was a line outside waiting to... More
