We were staying at the Fairmont Hotel and we were lucky enough to find the Nob Hill Cafe around the corner. This was by far the best dining experience on our entire trip to San Francisco. I would highly recommend stopping by!

This was a nice stop for a quick lunch. You had your choice of a light or heavy lunch. The waitress was vey helpful and our choices were well presented. The price was reasonable.

A really cosy, romantic but yet "casual" place with very good pizza and the best pasta carbonara ever with real, italian pancetta instead of plain bacon. We had alot of leftovers, but since our hotel was located in Union Sqaure it was pretty easy to find a homeless to give it to since we didn't have a fridge at the... More

Usually get the carbonara. Good bang for you buck. Probably shouldn't it too often since it's heavy. Their carbonara has a nice nutty taste to it if you like that kind.

We were staying a couple blocks from this otherwise very well reviewed restaurant, but only wanted something light to take home with us and pizza was it. Very underwhelming! This thing couldn't have been more than the size of a small plate, and for $16 that was insult to injury. Maybe the rest of the menu is better but our... More

We were visiting from Seattle, and just happened to get off the bus near this restaurant and it smelled so good from the street, we popped in only to be met with great service, thank you Eamon. The pasta and bread were SO darned good, as was my calamari steak (cooked to perfection).

Turned on to this little restaurant 2 years ago by the owner of the b&b we stayed in. Returned 2 weeks ago with my daughter and the food was still fantastic! Italian specialties and old stand-bys, all served with a smile. The place is small and much loved and they do not take reservations so, especially on weekend nights, it... More

Ended up going here 3 times during our time in San Fran. Each time it was just as good as the last! Wonderful food, great service and a lovely neighbourhood like atmosphere. You can't book so get there early or wait, its worth it for great italian food.

It was a quick walk from our hotel. The food was delicious! Dessert was fabulous - gelato topped cheesecake. Beyond yummy!

We were looking for some great food in San Francisco, but with a casual atmosphere and Nob Hill Cafe was perfect! The restaurant was quaint and comfortable, plus it was close enough to Union Square to be a convenient walk, but far enough out to not be too touristy. The food was authentic and fresh and the portions were large... More
