A very small, very busy place but with fantastic food and excellent service at a fair price. It appears to be a nice neighborhood place but welcomes visitors.

This place is an absolute gem. My partner and I arrived at about 6.30 on Sunday night and we were soon seated but be aware that this place gets busy! The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the restaurant itself had such a fun, romantic vibe! I ordered one of the pizza specials which was a Cajun Chicken and... More

Do take out and avoid the rush. lots of people eat outside, but try to get table inside. Pasta is the best thing. limited meat dishes. daily specials also a good way to go. limited wine list. cramped

We visited after recommendations from others in our business group. We were immediately seated and the wait staff took very good care of us. We tried their special pizza with mussels and it was awesome. If I lived in San Francisco, I'd got back in a heart beat.

Great local Italian cafe, with very good prices, huge portions and atmosphere. Recommended by local concierge I walked here for dinner. As a solo , I was seated quickly ( place was full), which I appreciated. The daily specials were easy for me to select from. Huge Caesar salad and the pollo and risotto special chicken dish were very good.... More

We visited this small neighbourhood cafe on the evening we arrived in the city. It doesn't take reservations and we had a drink while waiting about 20 minutes for a table. We shared bruschetta and then had pasta, which was all very tasty, and a lovely bottle of wine. The service was quick and attentive, and the atmosphere great. Later... More

This unassuming cafe was the first meal we enjoyed in San Francisco this trip. It was suggested to us by the concierge at the Fairmont. Upon arriving, we were promptly seated and served warm bread. I ordered the gnocchi bolognese, which was filling without being heavy. My wife had the margherita pizza. The crust was perfectly baked and topped with... More

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
