Busy place, great food, the service can definitely be improved on. The server just left the food and soft drink then never visit again. My coworker had to ask for drink refuel multiple times. The server blamed the lack of drink refuels on the drought, but knowing other places in the same area all at least ask whether you needed... More

I was so disappointed with this place. There was a line out the dorr at 7pm and had read all the reviews that were positive but after being seated and looking at the menu and how frazzled the waitress was that we had I was so heading out the door. My son decided to stay and try it out. I couldnt... More

Chef turned out some beautiful plates with amazing flavors. Started with oysters, white balsamic mignonette was bright, best accompaniment I've ever had with oysters. Pappardelle is a must try. Carpaccio was tender and flavorful, with the most peppery arugula. Branzino Saltimbocca perfectly prepared, great wine list, packed room, staff and GM were most accommodating. Make a reservation. Not to be... More

Our innkeeper recommended it but we were not impressed. The food was good but the service was severely lacking. I suspect not ordering alcohol had something to do with it although our meal still cost $100.

This is a very popular place, with tons of people and decibel level to match. However, the food is a revelation. The gnocchi was incredible--best I've had--and the sole was very good as well. The service was just bring 'em in, get their order, put it on the table, clear it out and deal with the next group--not a great... More

Yes, I know that it's San Francisco, and prices are higher than other cities, but we found these prices excessive for the quality and quantity of food. I also found it to be a loud restaurant, which I typically would avoid. I like to be able to carry on a conversation without yelling.

Every May for the past 20 years my group has always met for dinner here. The food is first class, though for me it's hard to resist the risotto which I usually choose. I love the modern/old world décor and service is professional. Only thing is I find the prices are getting steep ($29 for the risotto with no extras... More

This classic Italian restaurant is near Union Square. The food is very good. My very picky-eater grandson not only ate all of his duck soup, he finished mine also and used bread to get the last morsel of the soup from his bowl. My sole was slightly overcooked but still delicious. The service was professional and attentive but not overly... More
