A fun place for a group

This is a casual, upbeat setting with a great craft beer list. Their IPAs are especially strong. The Cuban sandwich is to be recommended. Service was attentive and friendly in spite of the place being packed.

Read about this place in a book on the worlds best beer, so we had to check it out during our visit to San Francisco. We walked there from Union Square and it took about 30 minutes. We arrived about ten minutes before their opening time, by the time they opened there was probably ten people waiting (it was 11:30... More

I last visited here several years ago, and should have remembered the somewhat disappointing experience then. However a colleague and I went there for lunch - note, don't go early (12:-00-13:00) as it is likely to be packed - empties out after about 13:30. Sitting in the bar area (the dining area was full), you have to order at the... More

Myself and some European colleagues ate here whilst on a business trip in early Feb. It felt off the tourist trail which was nice as I prefer to eat where locals will go. When we arrived the place was very busy with a good atmosphere. We waited 30 mins for a table but that was no problem as we talked... More

The beer was great with a good variety of high gravity drinks. The food was good also with the only complaint being the bacon on the burger was really tough and hard to chew. Great experience.

This was a tough place to rate. I came for an early dinner and the bar area was already full. The location is conveniently located maybe a 15 minute walk from the Moscone Center area. The inside has a pleasant feel - local bar vibe, casual upscale, high ceilings. In addition to the bar, there is a loft area with... More

The San Francisco Brewery Tour...STOP #3 Seemed to be more of sports bar/restaurant vibe than a brewery...not my scene...place was super packed...Green Bay Packers VS Seattle Seahawks were playing...where was Bret Farve? Did he get injured? Haven't watched football in awhile... We had some tasters regardless. Staff is nice, but not my kind of crowd...maybe I'll try again on a... More

We visited here for lunch and a few beers over the holidays. The reuban was deliciously cheesy, the selection of beers wasn't overwhelming but appropriate, and the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. This is definitely a spot I would return to!

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here: comfortable space, friendly and knowledgable staff, interesting beer selections, solidly good pub food. We were seated almost immediately on the busy Saturday before Christmas and service was prompt. Our server apologized for the "wait" although it was nothing, maybe 10 minutes. It is a bit of a trek to the location but worth it... More

When I arrived at the 21st Amendment brewery, I was excited to grab a delicious tasting sampler and a pizza that I had heard so much about. Neither disappointed in the least. However, I decided not to give a five star rating to 21st Amendment, as they did not really have a beer that blew me away, so to speak.... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
