Quite a scene!

A good place to party. Beers were good. Food looked good though I did not try any. Crowded but it was a game night. I would come back to try some additional beers. Service was good for being so packed.

I've been to 21st amendment quite a few times and the good news is their beer is great and their food is really good. However their service ruins the experience. One time we went and were told 5-10 minutes to get a table and after 30 min finally were sat down at a table that had been open the whole... More

I had some burgers and salmon and it was pretty basic, typical for a sportsbar but not necessarly bad! I enjoyed the bar itself, good to watch some cool games and hang around with friends to have some beers. Definitely I come back for the beers :-)!

Nice place to grab a bite to eat before or after a game at AT&T park. It is about a 10 min walk to this restaurant/bar from the stadium. Lot's of beer on tap and in addition the food is amazing. Had a pizza and was pleasantly surprised at how good it tasted. The layout of the place is also... More

I was in town, and I wanted to take a break from tourism to watch the NBA playoff game. I sat at the bar and tried [one of their two taster sets] before I chose my first pint. I also ordered lunch. With reference to my meal: the roasted jerk chicken was described as a brined half free range chicken,... More

My girlfriend and I checked this place out on our first night in SF. The service was good. Great atmosphere. We had two appetisers - the ribs and the calamari. The calamari was only ok. Seemed to be not much calamari compared to the batter. The ribs were delicious. The beer was good too. There were probably 6 or 7... More

Pros: Good beer selection and friendly staff. Cons: Bar area can be crowded making it difficult to get server's attention. The toilets were disgusting.

Great place to get a good beer and a bite to eat before a Giants game. Upstairs works if you want to watch some sports as the have several TV's. It an get warm up there sometimes but we had a great bartender server and some good food.

This is a casual, upbeat setting with a great craft beer list. Their IPAs are especially strong. The Cuban sandwich is to be recommended. Service was attentive and friendly in spite of the place being packed.

Read about this place in a book on the worlds best beer, so we had to check it out during our visit to San Francisco. We walked there from Union Square and it took about 30 minutes. We arrived about ten minutes before their opening time, by the time they opened there was probably ten people waiting (it was 11:30... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
