french bistro run by a french chef and his vietnamese wife. guests are welcomed (at least in our case, having gone many times) like family, and the food is pure french comfort, classic in every way. no liquor license but offering choices of beer and a decent wine list, this is a good place to relax and be satisfied. staff... Lovely private space available for a party or rehearsal dinner. The tented and nicely heated patio was perfectly comfortable on a chilly San Francisco evening. Owners are delightful and will make your event run smoothly and provide wonderful food for your guests. Our prix fixe Rehearsal dinner for 30 was delicious, served beautifully and reasonably priced! The passed appetizers were... More

This is one of the other place in the city that we always go, when my family visit. In this case, I meant all grown ups. The food is consistently good, the servers are friendly and "real French". For a decent French Bistro, Le Charm is probably the best in the city with a decent price. I will recommend to... More

Ate here recently and found the experience to be well below expectation. Service was not at all good (some might term it rude), and the food at best average. To top it all off, when we ordered the three course meal, and asked to pospone selection of a specific dessert until after the entree, we were told this was not... More

Came with my wife and we were seated at a crappy table with cheap chairs (different from the others). We had a reservation, so not sure why this happened. The service was just adequate. The food, however, was excellent. My wife and I really enjoyed our main meals.

We had dinner at Le Charm and what a wonderful experience we had. It was recommended to us and we were delighted that we chose to book there. The food, service and atmosphere were all superb. We went on a jazz night and the four guys playing live were very good. From the area and outside appearance you wonder if... More

Very nice dinner in a charming little restaurant. Prices were spot on (both food and wine). Had a great Burgundy for a reasonable tariff. Dessert seemed a little uninteresting but we were full anyway. Service was very attentive and friendly. He also was quite helpful in navigating the menu. Worth a trip in a city with a lot of great... Love Le Charm. There were six of us in the group. It was a wonderful experience. The quaint small restaurant is located on a convenient street. Easy access to the Bay Bridge. Some may say it's not in a good neighborhood. However, this French bistro is a great find. The prices and portion are very good. the people here are... More

I use to come here regularly, but have not been here in many years. The food still holds up. It is a wonderful French bistro. Very good food, attentive service and nice atmosphere. It is a good value for the price

Le Charm is an authentic French Bistro with excellent food at surprisingly moderate prices. At dinner the Prix Fixe included three courses at $35.00, really an extraordinary value. I had escargots, steak frites and tarte tatin. Each course was well prepared and ample in size and quality. Service was attentive and accurate. A most attractive feature was the wine list.... More
