If you want a traditional steakhouse experience with 5-star service, great steaks, seafood, and pasta and great wines and cocktails, this is your place. A great place for special occasions that's been around for many years. Red Wine and cocktails are very good and I'd try the oysters.

You can't beat an old classic...that is unless it comes with blue filet mignon cheese sliders if you order two drinks at happy hour. Happy hour dinner also includes a choice of several steaks, along with sides and deserts for $49. ALFRED'S FTW!

Dined with friends at Alfred's Steakhouse. old SF ambiance with red walls and leather booths. Marco, the owner, is terrific and Neil, our waiter, was top-notch. fabulous caesar salad, melt-in-your-mouth steaks, yummy sides and save room for dessert.

This was our last meal in San Fran before heading out so we wanted a good send off. The evening started well with a nice table. I explained about my gluten and shellfish allergy. We ordered and the server asked if I would be sharing my husband's shellfish starter - had he listened at all to what I had said!... More

We have been going to Alfred's Steakhouse every year after finishing a horse sale and it is always something we look forward to. The food and service are always first class and we always leave saying, "That was the best meal yet." The Hennessy side cars are our favorite drink on the menu and never disappoint. Thank you for making... More

Cannot thank the staff and management enough. In short, I left my wallet in a cab and only realised once we had sat down. Whilst I went off to try and reunite myself with if they looked after my wife and kids as if they were their own. Nothing was too much trouble for them and to top it it... More

We went there as a family of 4 people. The waitress that welcomed us was very pleasant. After that, we had to wait a long time in order to get serve. Not going to lie, I had one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. We all ordered something different and basically you can't go wrong. They give generous portions... More

We have been coming to Alfreds since 1992, back when they were on Broadway. Now they are located in the financial district in the space that used to be the Blue Fox. The drinks are very generous and the steaks consistently good. This evening we ordered the forty niner special . For $49 you get your choice of salad or... More

Alfred's Steakhouse is located in what would first appear in a non-descript location down a small alley. But, once you get inside the environment is pure old San Francisco steakhouse -- well dressed waiters, leather booths, dim lighting, a fantastic well-stocked bar. It dates back to the 1920's and has kept the atmosphere. So, if you are looking for "trendy",... More
