Wonderful to find a fantastic Afghan place in SF! Only slight disappointment was that there was a great deal of honey involved in the pumpkin preparation--a little sweeter than I expected. But the eggplant...so memorable... more

This is a good Afghan place. It's actually relocated on Van Ness somewhere now, the building was condemned after the Telegraph Hill landslide. I haven't been to the new location, but the buffet at the old place was solid. more

Not as good as the other Helmand's (in Cambridge, MA and DC). Alright, there is better Afghan in the bay area. more
