We arrived around 7:00 on a Friday night after a long series of flights and 2 taxi rides. the place was swamped and we were told we could get a table in 45 minutes to an hour or walk down to the end of the bar and take our chances. there were 4 of us. A helpful counterman found us... More

Vacations should be stress-free, otherwise it is called work. Tadich Grill does not accept reservations so you don't have to worry about "getting there." You go at 7 or 8 pm knowing that you have an hour wait but whether you are standing behind the bar/counter or have the fortune to be on a stool, you are enjoying your friends... More

I arrived early for dinner so we were taken care of right away. We sat at the bar and were immediately taken care of. I had the Seafood Cioppino and it was fantastic with the garlic bread. My friend had a seafood dish that he said was really good. The service was good and as we finished the restaurant began... More

It was packed on a Wednesday night but we sat at the bar within 10 minutes. Orders taken in good time, but beer left on the bar for about 10 minutes before served to us, Ordered the clam chowder, acceptable, Caesar salad, nice fresh lettuce but did they forget the dressing and cheese? Tasted of - well, lettuce. Entrees were... More

We were advised to go here by the concierge at our hotel. The ambience and service were good but we were really disappointed with our food. Tired over cooked vegetables and the chipped potatoes tasted as if they had been cooked the day before and re- heated. In addition, they got two elements of our order wrong - my wife... More

The oldest restaurant in the city of San Francisco. We went on a Wednesday night at 7:00 and the place was packed. We had a 45 minute wait but had been told by a friend it was well worth the wait. The staff are fun and sassy and quick with a come-back for the smart-Alec's in your party. The food... More

Don't miss this restaurant. It is the oldest restaurant in California, very stately, male waiters. Try the crab and shrimp salad or the fish offerings. Absolutely stupendous restaurant for lunch or dinner!

The food is outstanding. I love that the menu changes daily. They had a nice wine list and the service was friendly, helpful, and efficient! They don't take reservations, but we went early and didn't have to wait.

Touted as San Francisco's oldest restaurant. We put our name down for a table but ended up taking seats at the counter - think this is the way to go as you can watch the waiters in action and it feels a bit more old school. Our waiter was a character - one of those older crusty sorts who's been... More

We ate here today and felt the service was great. They kept our drinks refilled even though the place was packed. We both had seafood which was quite good but the sides were only average. We shared the bread pudding for dessert which was to die for
