Haven't been back to Tadich's for many years and the service and food were as good as ever. Wonderful place to eat and visit. A true San Francisco heritage site.

We had lunch at Tadich Grill while walking around the city. The food was fantastic, and the ambiance was a real treat; fun to be in such an old-school dining institution.

It's said to be the best ciaopino in SF and I would not disagree. Charming, old fashoned, authentic. My kind of place to eat and have fun.

I went here on a recommendation from a colleague. Although we had no reservation we were welcomed and seated promptly however I was rather disappointed by seafood and fish which I found rather bland and tasteless, though obviously to some peoples taste.

This restaurant came highly recommended to us by a friend and we were not disappointed. The sourdough bread, the cioppino and the Dungeness crab cocktail were all delicious. The waiter was professional and experienced. We went for an early dinner so there was no wait. It isn't inexpensive but it is in line with other restaurants of the same caliber... More

This is a great restaurant, but know what your purpose is. Their forte is busy business people and upscale tourists who want high quality food and service and are willing to pay for it. Nothing wrong with that. I had a business lunch here on a Saturday and we arrived right at 11:30am, so there was no line. The staff... More

Went here in mid March. Not worth the time or money. The food barely approaches mediocre. They are coasting on place with some history, don't get caught up in the hype! I ordered Halibut in white sauce, which was tasteless. My partner ordered steak which when asked for med rare, got barely cooked even when sent back to be recooked... More

The ambience of the restaurant takes one to a trip in nostalgia. Classic menu items include chowder, seafood salads, Dungeness crab and jumbo prawns. Food portions are decent and service is attentive. Reservations are not allowed so please plan accordingly as lunch waits can be long. It is surely worth the wait.

Came here based on TA reviews. Bottom line - mediocre food. Details Have tried to eat here several times based on reviews, but always a wait and never had time. This time came with a colleague who picked the place, and did not mind waiting. This is not a fancy place. Reminded me of what I remember of Smith Wolensky... More

I have been enjoying the Tadich Grill a few times a year for over 20 years and, unlike so much in this city, it is rock solid, unchangeable and a joy. It begins with the gruff welcome - Tadich folks will be your friends if you treat them with respect, but woe betide the arrogant ! You give them your... More
