A 45 min. wait turned into 90 min. with the usual excuse, i.e. there was a large party ahead of us. Not that big a deal for me, I eat out a lot and I'm used to waiting, but hubby got a little restless. We made the best of it since we (there were 4 of us) managed to keep... More

Traditional San Francisco grill with plenty of atmosphere. White table cloth restaurant but with informal varied and vast menus. Something for every one. Crab cakes were good!

I ate here one night by myself. They have a very large bar, which is more like an old food counter- you sit down and they take your order. The place is an institution, you can see it in the decor and the staff that seemingly have made a career out of serving there. There is a bit of arrogance... More

This was a favorite of my parents back in the day so on our last visit to SF we decided to check it out. From the minute we walked in, it was love. The staff over the top and beyond handsome...so many great looking guys in one place. The food beyond expectations and dirty martini a must!! This is a... More

Yum. Drinks were made RIGHT. Every aspect of meal was YUM! Server was a little arrogant but food was delivered in an efficient fashion.

When you walk through the door the overhead sign claims "The Oldest Restaurant In California" ...super cool! I love this place, the food, the cranky old waiters, delicious cocktails, ambiance... something about sitting at the counter, embracing the present and picturing the past. Its all good!

This is one of the oldest restaurant in San Francisco. Because it is located in the Financial District, many of the patrons were in for lunch. The pea soup was the best I have ever eaten. I ordered the salmon, it was a large piece and cooked to perfection. Our waiter was a little rude, but I expected it because... More

We went into Tadich Grill over the Fourth of July weekend and were able to be seated immediately at the counter. Unless you really want to wait for a table, the counter is a great alternative. Our server was very informative and helped us with our decision making. The clam chowder was some of the best we have ever had.... More

We went here for lunch with very high expectations. I had seen it on food network many times. The sea food was good but not excellent. Very over priced for what it was. It was fresh and tasty. I have had better seafood so would save your money and go anywhere else that serves seafood. Very old school and classic... More

When you arrive you are asked for your name which you assume you will get asked to come to a table in order but there appears to also be a way of getting a seat at the bar which is based on who jumps into the seat first. Unconventional but we got a seat. Our server was charismatic and knew... More
