This was our second visit to Tadich Grill, the first being in about 2001. It was recommended to us at that time, and we so enjoyed it that we came back. The restaurant is 165 years old (not at this location), and it is steeped in tradition. That's a lot of what makes it so special! Check out the website.... More

Jet lagged, I wandered down to the lobby of my downtown hotel at around 5am, and my efforts to get a coffee sparked a conversation with a fellow guest. A regular visitor, he suggested I might try the Tadich Grill, which he described as the best fish restaurant in San Francisco. My wife and I went there that evening. There's... More

I hate eating alone, but sometimes on a business trip it happens to us all. Stepping in to Tadich Grill I was so pleased to see the horseshoe "bar" eating area where even singletons could sit and feel less conspicuous! It reminded me a bit of Sweetings and Simpsons from London. White coated ageing waiters who knew exactly how to... More

I like this place. I went there twice and decided to write a positive review about it. As soon as you pass the door, you are immediately in another atmosphere. The long bar front of you is inviting you for a beer or a glass of wine until you get your table ready (it does not last too long). Then... More

Been eating here since the 50's when I was a teen. Came last week with my son and grandson and happy to say cioppino is the same (wonderful) as is the wait staff. Can't wait for my next visit to the City by the Bay for more..... :o)

Took the family here for dinner one night during our vacation. Both boys had steak, Filet Mignon and New York strip, both were very impressed with the quality and taste. Wife and I both had the Seafood Cioppino, this is a great meal loaded with fish, shrimp, mussels, crab and clams. The portions were good size where it was a... More

The first time you go to Tadich, you have to get the cioppino. It's tradition. I now get the cioppino >every< time because it's so incredible. The blackened salmon is great too, but the cioppino with a side of spinach is hard to beat. I love, love, love the place. Can't go to San Francisco without coming here.

There's nothing else like the Tadich Grill. No reservations taken, but it's worth the risk and the wait. Best bar in the city, huge menu EXCELLENT service. My wife and I can't wait to go back.

The food perfectly complimented the company while the seven of us were on a business dinner. Our waiter was absolutely a hoot, just a little irreverent and very knowledgeable of the menu and the wine pairings with it. If you get a chance, make this a place to check.

This place was first introduced to me about 15 years ago. I try to make it in each time I am in the City. The food is excellent, I had the swordfish and it was fantastic. I always take friends there, especially if they have never been there, and I don't know of anyone who didn't think it was some... More
