Large food portion and great service, great food!!!

My family and I came here last night, 5/30. There was a long line, but we choose to sit on the bar and got it as soon as we walked in. You can sit on the bar or wait for a table. My youngest son ordered a steak...yeah and it's a good size steak. I ordered the seafood casserole, my... read more

Friendly staff - Good service - neighborhood feel. Salmon shrimp casserole was good but not impressive. Red snapper was good. Side vegetables were Brussel sprouts, one carrot and cauliflower - nice colors for presentation but definitely not a first choice - order a salad.

We were referred to this restaurant by the hotel staff in SF. It was a late evening and we were hungry for seafood. The place is a hopping, well-known gathering place with a bar in the center and tables all around. The bartenders were very busy, but made time to chat, flirt, joke and entertain your liquor desires! Even though... More

This is a good place to go for seafood. I enjoyed the Curry Seafood Meal. What a treat. Never tasted anything like it before. It is some of the best seafood in San Francisco. Service was efficient. Dessert w/ the Chocolate Mousse was great. Looks like there are no reservations, first come first serve. Can get really busy. However I... More

Old school seafood restaurant. Servers in white jackets and old world decor. Sat at the bar on a busy Saturday night. Good and service were excellent. My husband and I split a crab salad, cioppino and grilled halibut. Everything was excellent. Will come back.

One of my favorite places in San Fran! This place is HIGH ENERGY! Great food, service, and ambiance. My favorite dish is the Seafood Cioppino. It is outstanding! Anything crab is outstanding and the steaks are memorable as well. I can't wait to come back!

As soon as you walk in the service begins. The bartender not only serves drinks but finds a dinner table for you as well. They all work together at this restaurant. It's good old fashion service at it's best. Even the decor is like going back into the 50's and the with the waiters wearing the long aprons just only... More

Only had a few hours to kill in SFO and got the BART downtown to have lunch at Tadich Grill. We missed the busy time and got a table straight away. The old style wood panelling and waiters uniforms and typical efficient hustle the punters in and out style was worth coming to see and the food was great. it's... More

Was recommended and did not disappoint. Did not take reservations but bar was open and was fun to sit at. Lively atmosphere. Seafood scampi and cocktails were tasty. Service was excellent.

Get there early unless you want to wait, but it is worth the wait! A San Francisco tradition and the waiters enjoy what they do. Sitting at the counter is even better than a table. We finally made it to the Tadich Grill after so many years. The bread is great. The ciopinno was packed with yummy seafood and broth... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
