Tadich Grill was recommended to us by a friend as well as the hotel and we definitely enjoyed it. It was very busy (Thursday dinner), but we enjoyed a relaxing drink at the bar first, with excellent bar service. We were waiting for another 2 to arrive (they were a little late), but they didn't even need to be told... More

This was my second visit. The first one a year ago when my wife and I were visiting SanFrancisco for our Anniversary. That time it was busy-busy-busy and we ending up seating at the bar. Great service-food and people watching. The second time was a couple of days ago (got a table this time) and received the same great service-food... More

I went to the restaurant at 7pm on a chilly evening and there was a waiting list that was 1 hour long. There was a couple with an 11 year old who had been waiting for 45 mins. They said it was worth the wait. If that 11 year old boy was thinking it was worth waiting for it must... More

The ONLY downside of this super restaurant is that one is not able to reserve a table for parties of less than 3, so as a couple that may be a turn-off, BUT shouldn't be, because as one enters it is a great atmosphere and a bar that seems to be over 100' long where people enjoy beverages before being... Hasn't changed in the 50 years I've been going there. Excellent service from mature, polite, responsive servers in traditional white jackets. Fish is always great. Suggest avoid casseroles in favor of plain broiled fish with fresh vegetable sides. The quality is what you're paying for.

Our friends recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint. They do not take reservations, but you can sit at the bar and have a drink while you wait for a table. The atmosphere was fun and bustling with locals and tourists. The local at the bar suggested the charcoal broiled halibut and it was delicious. The waiter suggested his... More

Loved the bouillabaisse at the Tadish, a very dimly lit and loud restaurant with lots of energy and lots of people waiting to be seated. I opted to sit at the bar with a buddy and enjoyed some stiff cocktails and quality seafood. A fine place to take a date as well, and the energy and interesting menu should provide... More

Wow! A friend had this place recommended from a friend. We were lucky and were seated without waiting as two seats at the bar desk were available. The food, try it! One of the best seafood servings ever. Their variant of the bouillabaisse is a winner!

On a recommendation from our hotel's bartender we walked to Tadich Grill. They don't take reservations so expect to wait. We went on a Saturday night around 6 and we had a 45" wait. It was so crowded that several people spilled their drinks - not a romantic experience. While waiting for a table we got a seat at the... More

This restaurant is at 240 California Street, right in the middle of the Financial District and close to downtown hotels. I have been eating here for 35 years. At lunch, it is packed with business people, and tables are at a premium. It is better to go at dinner time, as you will have a wait, but the long bar... More
