The Tadich has been around for a long time, and it doesn't concern itself with being stylish and trendy, like many of the other restaurant offerings popping up nearby. However, don't let that fool you - the Tadich Grill is a must when in San Francisco. Waiters who have been there for decades bring you delicious seafood and other dishes... More

Came here based on our walking tour guide's suggestion for a gin & tonic (and according to him, a pick of Anthony Bourdain's). Got a seat at the classic bar and were promptly served a perfect g&t. Friendly bartenders and patrons fun so we decided to stay for a second. Got to chatting with the manager and host when they... More

Forbes Magazine. "Tadich Grill One of the World's 10 Great Classic Restaurants Well Worth Visiting. I agree. This was a wonderful diner. Four of us met for a business diner after a long day of work. We were not happy about waiting 1 hour but everyone told us its worth the wait. Its true. Everything was wonderful from atmoshere, service... More

Had lunch here and loved it. We went during the week at lunch time and it was packed, and we did not have a reservation. However, the manager advised us that if we would consider sitting at the bar, he could seat us immediately. We grabbed the chance and found the bar totally comfortable. The food was great. I had... Managed to get seats at the long bar despite them being pretty busy even fairly late on a Tuesday night - in the financial district so clearly very popular with post work crowds. We both had the cioppino which was amazing, served with garlic bread and huge portions - I couldn't finish it, as much as I wanted to. I've... More

A classic San Francisco experience in style and decor. The food is excellent and the menu large. Central location for walking to it from many directions once downtown.

I have been going to San Francisco for over 50 years. How did I ever miss this place! It reminds me a lot of Gallatoires' in New Orleans, Lots of steak house type atmosphere, brass rails etc., although this is primarily a seafood house. Great clam chowder (We are from New England) and excellent fish. I had the pan fried... More

We are repeat customers at the Tadich Grill, and for us this is another must visit place every trip. As noted there are no reservations so expect to be standing next to the very long long bar with other's waiting for a table. Don't let the noise or crowd dissuade you, the turn over is pretty quick and you will... More

We heard many recommendations so decided we had to go to Tadich Grill. At 8 PM the noise level was such that at a table for 2 we could not hear each other and converse. Many items on the menu, according to the waiter, were not available any more at 8 PM. We were very disappointed..

We have a great time at the Grill. Eat at the bar, the bartender was great and very entertaining. The Clams were the best I had ever had.
