We went here on Friday night. They don't take reservations so we put our name in to wait. They advised 45 minutes. We were with our teenage kids. We found 3 seats at the crowded bar. It could have been an awkward experience because they were the only kids in the whole place. But the bartender was very nice and... More

Entering Tadich Grill you are first made aware at the length of the queue to get a table (no reservations accepted). After half an hour stood up and waiting we were seated at our table. The restaurant is authentic and pannelled with wood but quite dark. My partner and I were found the 'uniform' of the waiting staff much like... More

I was joined by an out of town friend for a Saturday dinner at Tadich. After a short wait, we sat at at the bar. Service was prompt and attentive. We both had steaks rather than seafood. Our meals were good -- ample portions, cooked well, good sides (fries & veggies). Next time there, I'll likely order seafood as some... More

My wife and I stopped here for dinner while in San Francisco. The location is excellent and the restaurant has a ton of energy. My entree, the Sand Dabs, was average at best. My wife had clam chowder and said it was the best she has ever eaten. The calamari appetizer was very good. Decent wine list

Great sea bass and red snapper filè. However, avoid the starters as both the shrimp and crab cocktails were tasteless and of poor structure. Maybe we are spoiled though, since we eat alot of excellent sea food in Gothenburg - Sweden.

We enjoyed our meal at Tadich and in some respects it was like going back in time! It is an old style, white table cloth fish restaurant with really tasty crab cakes and some of the best cioppino I have tasted! No reservations here, but you can eat at the bar or simply have a drink while you wait, which... More

Said to be the oldest restaurant in California. Deep fried scallops were the best I have ever had. Seafood sauté was so good! Impeccable service. A must try in San Francisco!

Tadich's bar and grill is by far one of the best restaurants I have ever enjoyed. The atmosphere is unique and old city. The seafood choices and service are amazing. It is a little expensive but so worth a nice night out on the town. T

ONe of my favorite restaurants in the world. Why? Hard to explain, but this is an SF landmark, and exudes old San Francisco charm and character. Reservations are not excepted, so get there early or be prepared to wait. I always try to sit at the counter, which gets me into fascinating conversations with fellow diners and the waiters behind...
