Very neat place

I was surprised to know that i booked a michelin star restaurant for my boyfriend and I but I have to admit super glad I did. The pork chops were something spectacular. Great service all around and chill ambiance made for a very enjoyable dinner.

Best pork chops Ive even eaten. Loved this food, went back twice to try the food. Bavette steak was really good, along with lemon ice box cake. Some really excellent entrees and desserts. We had been to Gary Danko the night before which is rated one of best restaurants in the city and I think that this restaurant had several... More

Surprised this has a Michelin star. The good is tasty not amazing. The decor is average. More like a steakhouse decor. The room is loud. The desserts are too similar with too many dark chocolate options

Fabulous food, great service, very popular so always book. We had a top chef from Australia with us who booked it so that says it all !!!! Obviously not cheap but worth every penny.

Refined locally driven menu....a beautifully balanced scallop starter and a startlingly well conceived and constructed quail main the two stars on the night. Serving sizes smaller than when we last dined there six years ago...the upside being that three courses now doable. Prices, especially for someone coming from Australia, disconcertingly low for this level restaurant....starters all under $20; mains under... More

Love their food, service, and mission. Their plates are exquisite and impressive. Each dish has a story and will satisfy you for days. Pork and quail dishes were amazing. Their ice cake and caramel custard were delicious desserts.

Our family of 6 ate here and sat at a table that looked out over the golden gate. Very nice. We all enjoyed our food and cocktails. It was an expensive dinner but we were satisfied overall.

Last night seven of us attended dinner at Boulevard in San Francisco. When we were told by the front desk of our hotel that this was a one star Michelin restaurant and even received the James Beard award in 2012, we went in with many expectations. What we didn't expect was horrible service and really average food. Lets start at... More

This restaurant is a fraud: bad service all around, and mediocre food. the waitress, Shay (?) had a big attitude and suggested so much food we ended up eating only half of it! She was impatient, not helpful, and we can tell she hates her job. The sole was extremely dry, the Tuna tartare is better in Whole Foods deli,... More

My husband and I were in San Francisco as part of our honeymoon and we have so far had bad luck with all the restaurants we've tried based on very good reviews from TripAdvisor. We were kind of hoping that Boulevard would change that. Not! Took a while to get seated, the man who ushered us to our table seemed... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
