Solid - but in a good way!

it's a few years since I visited Boulevard - back when it was white hot - and it still appears to be the place to see and where to be seen. It's expensive and the older demo attendance reflects that, but there is also a moneyed younger crowd vibe going on. Service is excellent. Food is beautifully... read more

My husband and I were in San Francisco as part of our honeymoon and we have so far had bad luck with all the restaurants we've tried based on very good reviews from TripAdvisor. We were kind of hoping that Boulevard would change that. Not! Took a while to get seated, the man who ushered us to our table seemed... More

The decor is fun and makes you think you are back in an old bistro. The food was very good, high quality. The service was wonderful and the bartender was excellent! It is a bit pricey, but you do indeed get what you pay for and it was well worth the expense. A return visit will definitely be planned for... More

We went with a big group for dinner and the service was great. The waitress was very helpful picking out wine and recommending dishes. The pea soup with crab meat was delicious. And the pork chop was wonderful

Our visit unfortunately, was marred by a select number of overly pretentious staff. I just don't understand why this approach is still acceptable or allowed. It was lunch on a Tuesday when we walked in to a stiff smile and a very formal greeting. We were led through the beautiful restaurant passing many empty comfortable booths and seated at a... More

We just moved to San Francisco and wanted to celebrate with a nice dinner. Boulevard was the right choice. Everything we ate, from appetizers to dessert, was expertly prepared and tasted wonderful. Service was friendly, prompt, and professional. Our server was well-versed in California wines (we aren't) and helped us pick the perfect complement to our meal. Finally, although the... More

My daughter and I sat at the Chef's Table. We asked for suggestions. We ordered the Lamb and the Steelhead Salmon (yes, I know there is no such thing as a Steelhead Salmon. The sous chefs chuckled along with me). The preparation, cooking, sauces, plating and presentation were great. A memorable symphony of flavors and textures. The server was not... More

The entrance walking in is striking and grabbed my attention. Loved the Mosaic floor. Great lively ambience at this place, it´s exciting. Great service from the well trained waitstaff. I enjoyed the Tuna Tartare. My husband Rob enjoyed the Dungeness Crab Salad. Also shared the Plump Scallops. Good Winelist selection.

Arguably one of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Expensive, yes but worth every penny. When you match exquisite food with impeccable service wrapped in a perfect place you are 5 stars and never disappoint. Loved it so much I bought their cookbook. Who knows maybe I have a whole day to try a recipe... More

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
