lots of charm

Went with a group of 8 for lunch. Everyone was friendly. Interesting dishes for anyone. The food is very good and it is a good thing we walked it off. Well worth the visit.

We flew to SF to have dinner here for our anniversary. It was a little bit tough to get a table and we were famished by our 8:30 reservation time but the staff was outstanding and food was divine! We had drinks, starters a main and desserts and we were stuffed. The restaurant is elegant and the art nouveau theme... More

Just celebrated my husband's significant birthday at Boulevard. We had the wine room which seats 14 people. The room is small, so don't try to squeeze one more in. The service was impeccable and the food outstanding. People ordered different things and for a table of 14 everything was served to perfection. The table reported the pork steak was outstanding,... Anytime I or those with me are traveling thru San Fran, this is a must stop for diner. We do everything we can to eat at the Chef Counter to interact with the process in having your meal prepared. Great steaks and chops and the desserts are enough to put you to sleep with comfort! Great wine selection and not... More

We stopped in on a Saturday night. It was full, but the wait was only about 30 minutes. It was worth it. This was one of the beast meals e have ever tasted. I had the Abalone appetizer, unbelievable. For the entre' I had the Lamb T-bone, and again, a true delight. The menu changes daily. The service was impeccable... More

Very nice restaurant with very good food and a nice ambiance and it is only a block from the Ferry Building and the Hyatt, where we were staying. We had the lamb and a nice filet which were cooked to perfection. The only glitch was that my Goose martini was served about room temperature.

had a great meal here. The pork chop was excellent and service was fantastic. The Somm was very nice and spent a good deal of time with us to discuss the wines in the area and the selections on the wine list.

Boulevard is just a hop, skip, and a jump from the Ferry Building but feels worlds away. Chef/Owner, Nancy Oaks, has been wowing fans for over 20 years. On our recent visit, after touring the city with visiting friends, we arrived tired and hungry at Boulevard but were almost 2 hours early for our reservation. When I checked with the... More

Top Notch - if you got the money, it's a great experience. There's a great bar across the street you can meet at for drinks. It's inside a hotel. Then walk over to Boulevard for your reservation and have an amazing night!

This restaurant proved a worthwhile experience: well prepared dishes and efficient service ensures a desire for a repeat. The american style brasserie interior is pleasant, although the lamps are a bit kitsch, but concentrate on your plate and you're fine.

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
