While walking to The House, you pass by italian restaurants that smell great. Work through it! The House was delicious. Specials and off the menu items were both visually appealing and tasted great. Their Miso Cod special, rib appy special, octopus salad special and off the menu seared ahi tune were all "special" to the palate. Definitely recommend.

A hidden gem in North Beach, does Asian fusion really well. Dishes to try: blue lake bean tempura, deep-fried salmon roll, warm wasabi house noodles, sesame soy glazed salmon, grilled sea bass with garlic ginger soy. And ask about their specials!

The term "Asian fusion" does not do justice to this sophisticated restaurant on the edge of Chinatown. Busy but not crowded, lively but not noisy, House surprises and enchants with creative appetizers and entrees. Looking around the intimate space one wants to graze through the menu. Four of us ordered five appetizers simply to sample the broad range, including soft... More

BIL recommended this gem. It's on Grant Stbut up further past Chinatown so make sure you Google map if you're not that familiar with SF. My husband and I got the calamari and special appetizer, which was a soft shell crab on soba noodles. It was good, but the soba noodles were a little over cooked and too sweet. The... More

Very busy , small restaurant in a dodgy corner. However , the food is excellent. Our server was new on the job and we had to ask for the restaurant manager to get to vegetarian options.. After the initial hurdle the experience was great and the food excellent.

Had dinner with friends at The House. Everything was just great. The food - miso cod, sea bass, pork chop, steak and noodles - all excellent. Good value in this bustling little place. Make a reservation for sure. It's fusion with a lot of Japanese and Thai influence. Tables are really cozy, you will definitely know your neighbors better by... More

My fiance, her family and I stopped in here for lunch. We had heard that it was a great place for dinner, but didn't know they were open for lunch. The cuisine is a Thai Fusion and I was impressed. It was delicious. We did not go for dinner while we were in San Francisco, but we were told that... More

I don't know a lot about reviewing food so I'll keep it brief. No bar, No frills interior. Focus seemed to be on the food. Food was fantastic. We really, really enjoyed our meals. Visiting SF, we also really enjoyed dining at a spot that wasn't the typical tourist restaurant. Highly recommend
