Trip Advisor Review - The House: The House is a magical place - full of wonder and packed to the rafters with delectable dishes to tempt even the most discerning palette. When I say 'packed to the rafters' I'm speaking figuratively rather than literally, which is quite fitting as The House is also not literally a house. Keep reading to... More

Concierge at our hotel recommended this small restaurant in the North Beach area. The food was exceptional and reasonably priced. No frills just good service and quick. Great buzz in the surrounding area. One for the short list if visiting SF.

My husband and I visited The House after a recommendation by a local. Seriously, after travelling through the US for four weeks this place took first place for most delicious food. The fitout isn't anything special but don't let that fool you. We shared the ribs special, Maine Crab Cake and Deep Fried Salmon Rolls. All were amazing (particularly the... More

The scallop appetizer was divine with the scallops cooked to perfection. The ahi was also wonderful. The Kobe was a very large portion but not as tender as U would expect from a medium rare cut of this meat. I'd go back

so didn't want to do the tacky thing, but so wish I had captured the exquisite presentation of our three excellent starters...yellowtail tuna sashimi, ahi tuna tartare w/crisps and fried (yes, totally worth it) salmon roll...great start to a terrific dinner in this totally unassuming pretty ordinary space. Entrees also excellent...I had the ribeye teriyaki and my companions had the... More

I ate here when visiting SF after a recommendation from a friend back home. Wow. The quality of the food and how it was presented could have easily been at a restaurant twice the price. The service was great and the atmosphere and location were pretty good too. Highly recommended!

While walking to The House, you pass by italian restaurants that smell great. Work through it! The House was delicious. Specials and off the menu items were both visually appealing and tasted great. Their Miso Cod special, rib appy special, octopus salad special and off the menu seared ahi tune were all "special" to the palate. Definitely recommend.

A hidden gem in North Beach, does Asian fusion really well. Dishes to try: blue lake bean tempura, deep-fried salmon roll, warm wasabi house noodles, sesame soy glazed salmon, grilled sea bass with garlic ginger soy. And ask about their specials!

The term "Asian fusion" does not do justice to this sophisticated restaurant on the edge of Chinatown. Busy but not crowded, lively but not noisy, House surprises and enchants with creative appetizers and entrees. Looking around the intimate space one wants to graze through the menu. Four of us ordered five appetizers simply to sample the broad range, including soft... More
