We ate here as a family of four for dinner. They did accept our reservation and sat us on time. The owner was very friendly and joked around with with us. The food was good.

portions are not super big. Would order a portion for each person unlike some Chinese restaurants. Excellent food and well priced. Big groups or couples can find a seat here. Boa dumplings are amazing! Maybe back tomorrow night!

If really good Chinese food is what you are looking for than Hunan Home's Restaurant is just for you! We started our meal with the wonton in hot sauce, that was absolutely delicious! We then shared a plate of chicken with spicy garlic sauce, so tasty and so juicy! The chicken was very moist and fried perfectly. The Mu-shu pork... More

Found this place by checking for nearby restaurants while in China Town and gave it a try. Reviews on that site were good but it wasn't #1, however there wasn't a wait mid-day so we tried it. BEST authentic Chinese food we ever had. Good service, they were didn't try to rush you at all and very reasonably priced.

Given that basically all Chinese food outside of China has been modified for Western taste, it is hard to say what is "authentic". However, a good gauge is whether Chinese people eat at a particular restaurant. While we think there were several groups, the majority of diners appeared to be there having read good reviews on TA. Indeed the food... More

There were four of us to dine here. My husband and I had never been but the couple we were with had been several times. The food was very good and we tried a variety and shared. My ONLY complaint was i felt a bit rushed. Service was good or maybe a little too good since a plate would be... More

Wonderful visit to Chinatown and a great dinner with friends at Hunan Home's. Tour guide recommended and we weren't disappointed. If you like REAL Chinese food, then give them a try.

This restaurant was so good! We started with bbq pork appetizer. Oh. My. I could taste a cherry in the glaze, it was so good! We shared orange peel chicken, and pork ribs that were battered with salt and pepper. Seriously, this has ruined chinese take out for me forever. This is the best Chinese food I've ever had. It... We frequent HH for family gatherings as they are fantastic at handling groups (huge space, lots of tables for 10+) and the food is consistently fresh, yummy, no msg and service is fast! We always order the green beans, every chicken dish is great, sweet &sour soup is FRESH (you know how sometimes that soup smells wrong?), and the variety... More

A unique neighborhood decorated with colorful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates.
