We're huge Iron Chef fans and based on his outstanding performance as the first American chef back in 1998, we were expecting Chef Ron Siegel to deliver one of life's great dining experiences. We were disappointed. Was the food bad? Certainly not. But it wasn't outstanding either. Was the service bad? Actually, it wasn't great. They were clearly not happy... more

We enjoyed our dinner at the Ritz, mostly due to the service. You get a 3 course dinner for $75/person. I didn't see anything that struck me as the second course so they let me choose 3 first courses instead. During the second course they brought my husband a plate of foie gras free of charge since the chef "doesn't... more

Our three-course dinner was fabulous from beginning to end. Since the menu changes often, it's a waste of time to describe each of our dishes. I can only say that it was an excellent dining experience and one that we look forward to repeating. My advice is to order your favorite things--they are bound to be delectably prepared. more

We expected a good meal at the Dining Room, not a truly great meal! Starting with an amazing amuse bouche involving a woderful cedar smoke (invigorating the senses and exciting the diner - what next, you think?) my husband and I were blown away by the tasting menu. To our surprise we both received different courses - which was great,... more

When you think of love, when you think of class, when you think of the diamond necklace in my champagne (and the maitre d' to stand by waiting to clean said necklace!)- think of The Ritz. I personally would like to be buried here. They treat me that well. The food is the good. The tea is the nice. more

We ate here for Valentine's Day, so the menu was fixed. The room is beautiful. Some reviews say stuffy, but it's elegant and refined. If you're looking for loud and action packed, this isn't the place. You can have a conversation and excellent service. Not intrusive, quite helpful and complementary. The food was excellent. I had the Kobe beef and... more

There are many reasons behind a wonderful dining experience, but the first thing a restaurant should be about is the food, and the Dining Room is just not interesting enough to warrant the price for dinner. It is dull, lifeless and without even a bit of sizzle of new tastes or innovative cuisine. Quite simply boring. more
