I have to say "hands-down" to Masa's. By far the best fine dining we've experienced. Worth every penny from the amuse-bouche to the spectacular chocolate souffle - that souffle was to die for! The ultimate in expense as far as I've seen (I'm leaving out New York and other world cities). 5 course meal and good dress are de rigeur here. Worth it to go once and say you've eaten at one of the most expensive restaurants in the country. more

A bit stiff for us, and the food was solid but nothing that blew us away. Perhaps an off night, but we didn't get the "we've got to get back here ASAP" vibe we've had at places like Gary Danko, Acquerello, etc. More comparable to Fifth Floor, I'd say. more
