Praise for Pazzia

This was a TA top rated spot near our hotel so gave it a try. We were not disappointed. The bread is worth the carbs. The pasta is perfectly al dente. I had the fusili with eggplant and fresh mozzarella. It was like heaven - light and tangy. My friend had the seafood risotto and loved it. You will... read more

I love Pazzia! I first heard about it on Check Please Bay Area. We've been there twice in the last 6 months. On both occasions, the food and service were excellent. We started off with the Burrata appetizer. It's simple and absolutely delicious. They have just the right touch of olive oil and seasoning on the cheese and arugula. The... More

First time and it was fun and tasty. We enjoyed the spare rib, pizza (lots of choices--thin crust) and beet and burrata salads. Brought our own wine, wine list was reasonable and fair selection. The veal was a hit along with salmon. Small facility, so make reservations and limited outside seating. Great service with lots of smiles. The hit was... More

This was Italy in the heart of San Francisco! I've traveled a few times around northern Italy... and Pazzia took me back! The thin, uncut, delicious pizza! The birra, the wine, the bread and oil, the friendly staff, etc.. Highly recommended!

Pazzia exudes the sort of energy and effort to please that makes you instantly want the place to succeed. It all seems to be working, because the place was packed during our visit. Service is friendly, informal and efficient. As to food, however, most things fell a little short of excellent. Salads were generous but perfunctory and not too interesting.... More

Premise:I'm an italian expat relocated in SF and this is the only place I had something tasting like in Italy. Location: not bad, the venue is small but the waiters and the owner have solutions for every kinda group. Not suggested for romantic meeting...the venue is small and make result some noisy Food: there is only one word to describe... More

After searching high and low for some good eats, we stumbled across this quaint Italian restaurant. We ordered freshly made pasta with meat sauce, margarita pizza, and capri salad. The food was wonderfully cooked and the wait staff, whom were all from Italy, were an absolute trip to converse with- even the owner ( true Italian) made conversation with us and... Really nice meal with authentic italian flavours served by a friendly helpful staff in a casual no frill setting. The proschuto and ruccolo pizza had a crisp base and the pasta dishes were great. Th

Found this place during a one night stopover in San Francisco. In short, it is superb! The place was packed, with barely any space between tables, but you never felt cramped... It just gave a good (busy) home feeling. Food was top notch and a good selection of wines offered. Service was personal and friendly even when so busy. This... More

I was shopping at a cloths store in the area and asked one of the employees if they had a favorite restaurant in the area. She told us about this place . We had soup, salad and a sandwich for lunch. It was a great lunch, everything fresh and tasty . I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
