Best breakfast. Ever

I'm not going to say the food is bad, it's not. Is it special - NO. San Fransisco is an genuine american gem of a city. Good food is EVERYWHERE to be found here. I'm very lucky that I come every few months for work. So what's my beef with mama's? Quite simply its popularity. When you are in such... More

"Plan on waiting at least an hour!" we heard over and over. Lucky us! Not only was it a beautiful, sunny morning on a Friday in January but we didn't wait that long at all! (maybe 45 min. which gives you a chance to mingle with the crowd, finding out where everyone is from) Love that they have the "special... More

My goodness, over 1000 reviews? Does it really need another one. At some point, I think some look for something to give a lower rating. I mean I can do that too. I can remove 1-2 stars simply by saying the wait SUCKS. And you aggressively have to try and come early so your wait is not too long, or... More

I can see lots of positive posts but I can't understand why....this place has been so hyped up I think people feel it must be good even if it's crap. We queued before 7 to get in and I wish I can get that time back. Service ordering rushed - you queue, order then are seated. We got placed right... More

During my visit to San Fran, I decided to Google for the best breakfast/brunch restaurant in the city. Mama's was the first to show up in the results so I decided to give it a try. The wait was incredibly long (about 2 hours) but since all of the reviews were positive, I decided to wait it out. I was... More

I have to queued for abt 1.5hours plus to get in. They have a very cute little ting cafe! But its really worth the wait. I like the waffles! Try them on. Try to come ard 2.30pm when they are abt to close. I heard the queue will not be as long as brunch time.

Even we don't go out for breakfast/brunch regularly, we couldn't miss this place while staying in San Francisco. No matter if you like sweet breakfast (waffles, several different french toast options, cakes, pancakes...), traditional breakfast (eggs, bacon, saussage, omelets, ...) or helathy ones (sandwiches, salads, oat meals, ...) You Will Love this place! The only disadnavtage is, that they are... More

I heard from lot's of folks about this restaurant. Luckily we were staying 3 blocks away and decided to get up early even while on vacation on a Saturday morning. We arrived 30 minutes before the restaurant was open and already 10 folks were there in line. By time the doors opened, 50 people were in line behind us. Very... More

Not a fan of the waiting style but it was worth it. Get the monte Cristo. Very unique and worth it. My wife got a quesidilla and it was also very good. Got scones to go and they were amazing. Great wait staff. The mama's smoothie is amazing.
