During my visit to San Fran, I decided to Google for the best breakfast/brunch restaurant in the city. Mama's was the first to show up in the results so I decided to give it a try. The wait was incredibly long (about 2 hours) but since all of the reviews were positive, I decided to wait it out. I was... More

I have to queued for abt 1.5hours plus to get in. They have a very cute little ting cafe! But its really worth the wait. I like the waffles! Try them on. Try to come ard 2.30pm when they are abt to close. I heard the queue will not be as long as brunch time.

Even we don't go out for breakfast/brunch regularly, we couldn't miss this place while staying in San Francisco. No matter if you like sweet breakfast (waffles, several different french toast options, cakes, pancakes...), traditional breakfast (eggs, bacon, saussage, omelets, ...) or helathy ones (sandwiches, salads, oat meals, ...) You Will Love this place! The only disadnavtage is, that they are... More

I heard from lot's of folks about this restaurant. Luckily we were staying 3 blocks away and decided to get up early even while on vacation on a Saturday morning. We arrived 30 minutes before the restaurant was open and already 10 folks were there in line. By time the doors opened, 50 people were in line behind us. Very... More

Not a fan of the waiting style but it was worth it. Get the monte Cristo. Very unique and worth it. My wife got a quesidilla and it was also very good. Got scones to go and they were amazing. Great wait staff. The mama's smoothie is amazing.

Oh yum!!!! One of the best breakfasts ever!!! We had the North Sicilian Omelette and Norwegian Benedict both were absolutely delicious!!! But we took a blueberry pancake for dessert and were sorry we only got one. I don't know what they do to their pancakes - apparently only one guy knows the mix - but they were light, fluffy and... I have been waiting to try Mamas for the longest time but finally got a chance to come here with my boyfriend this past week. All my friends told me that this was THE brunch place in SF. I tried the salmon eggs Benedict and it was so delicious. I forget the name of the dish my boyfriend got but... More

My husband and I arrived before the restuarant opened to get in line, and still had to wait until the group in front of us had been seated...so clearly that says something about a restaurant. The process was a little confusing at first, but once we were seated we really enjoyed our experience. The food was really good, but I... More

To be fair we actually didn't even get to eat here. We arrived at 8:15 when the restaurant had opened at 8 o'clock. The wait at that point was already an hour and a half. We waited for a while but made no progress in the line so we went elsewhere. True to their word an hour and a half... More

On my 1st trip to San Fran a few years ago, my sister-in-law said we had to eat at Mama's. She was right! There will be a wait, but it is more than worth the wait! I've now been to San Fran several times and no trip is complete without at least one visit there. French toast is my fav!
