Thanks to other reviews on Trip Advisor we were aware of the hour wait prior to arriving at Mama's. We made the most of our time there, chatting it up with a friendly family from New Jersey ( if you're every in the NJ area and need dental work, look up Tim ;). It was pretty much bang on one... We had heard about Mama's Kitchen and it was a "must do" item while visiting San Francisco. We went about on hour before closing and still got in…..barely. The atmosphere and decor and welcoming. The choices of breakfast are innumerable. We all got something different and everything we got was amazing! We would love to go back one day.

This place lives up to the hype. Excellent breakfast but we waited a long time on line. We all thought it was worth it. The guy at the register gave us some good food tips for the city.

We visited Mama's after reading all the great reviews and seeing all the awards its won. We got there early 7.45am (it opens at 8am), thinking we would walk straight in.....wrong! There was already a queue of ten people deep. Its only a small place, but you have to order at the counter before they will seat you. We just... More

We visited Mamas after reading many good reviews. We arrived at 7.45am (jet lag allowed for an early start, luckily) and there were already ten people queuing. We guessed we were on to a good thing as we took our place. It is a small venue and you order then are seated so it does take a while to get... More

It is about $20 a head, but it was an amazing breakfast. Extremely fresh, perfectly cooked, good selection. We got there at 830am on a Thursday morning and still had to stand in line an hour - but oh so worth it!

Went to Mamas in August 2014. We arrived mid morning and the line up was quite long and we were informed that it would be a 2 hour wait. Daughter talked to greeter and he advised to come back between 7:15 and 7:30 am the next day and we would probably be seated right away when it opened at 8:00... More

I would not wait again. We arrived at 8:15am and were seated at 10:45 am. The eggs on my Eggs Benedict were very under cooked which caused stomach problems later. The sour dough toast and home made jam was very good. My husband enjoyed the fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. It is a very good place to eat if the line... More

The French toast is absolutely amazing! The best breakfast we had whilst in California! Long queue which is frustrating but it is worth waiting

We were keen to visit Mama's on our three week tour of the West Coast which we started in San Fransisco. We knew we needed to get to Mama's early because every travel guide we read online said to go to Mama's and to get there early. We got there at 7am on our first day (helped out by UK... More
