Mama's is an institution famous with the locals. The staff is really nice and friendly, but have to say that waiting over 2 hours to get in the door, then wait again to order and then to get a table... is was a lot of waiting. The food was good, but not 2+ hours good.

I'm not sure if the food was truly that good, or if I was simply famished after waiting in line for an hour. Either way, standing in line gave me a chance to chat with the locals, and once inside, the breakfast and service was outstanding. I had the french toast was delicious and my wife's omelet was equally good.... More

We visited Mamas because of the wonderful food we had last year - this time it was so-so. After the 90 minute wait outside and inside I actually strayed from my usually omelette/frech toast breakfast to try the Monte Cristo - it was dry and tasteless - I dont understand the hype. The house potatoes was dry and some were... More

A long lineup awaits you for this little breakfast/brunch restaurant. (I walked down the hill to a coffee bar for a takeout java & back & drank it before we were seated) Once inside we joined another lineup to order. The food was fabulous and fresh! Particularly enjoyed the French toast style berry & banana loaf special they prepared. My... More

Saw the line out the door every visit so had to join in once for lunch. Breakfast is their speciality and can't be beat but lunch is also fabulous. My husband has to watch his cholesterol so tried their spinach salad and it looked like we were in France! I had the also as fabulous Monte Cristo. YUM

My significant other, my daughter and I waited for 45 minutes for a table. The food was worth the wait. The French toast special was outstanding. Nice teas and coffee. Not sure I could ever stand on line for more than an hour for a restaurant though.

We read about Mama's in Time, it said that it is the best breakfast in town and this is not a lie, I would say it's the best breakfast I've ever had and definitely worth whatever the wait is to get a table!

Was there wednesday 11, the queue outside for 45 minutes in full sun, inside 15 minutes to order food, another 10 minutes to be seated. Food was rather mediocre (slim jose and apple crumble), potatoes on the side obviously overfried, space around extremely claustrophobic. The real mystery is, how this place could on earth be so highly rated? My answer... More

The food was great and the setting is super-charming. Service was great and prompt once we were seated. However, not sure we'd stand on line for 2 hours waiting for a table again. We got on line at 9am on Saturday, seated at 11am and were done eating by 11:30. Good thing Mama's is located in a charming area. :)
