I did not have a full meal yesterday, because I was there at 3:00 p.m. So I ordered the things I liked best. Oysters (a good selection from several regions) and Caesar salad. I swear, that Caesar has not changed at all since the first time I tasted it, 30 years ago or more. Perfect lettuce, tossed with egg, and... More

My husband and I ate here with friends for dinner. We had to wait a bit for our table even with a reservation. There is no comfortable place to wait so were in the way of waitstaff. I'm not sure how they could solve that problem but was a bit annoying. However, once we were seated upstairs in one of... More

I got lost in the city and drove right past this restaurant by accident! It looked very cute and so I decided to take a chance and stop in since I was starving. They were in a lull time (2pm) so there were only a few of us in the restaurant. All I have to say is blown away! I... More

Their signature dish chicken in the oven is truly excellent and one should order it with "shoe strings" - very narrow french fries. Even if you have not booked a table it is worth going as often they have free seats in the bar where you can order from the same menu. The service is really friendly and attentive in... More

Had my best cocktail ever, a cynar sidecar. Excellent food, a bit noisy, but that's life. No problem to get a gluten-free meal for the celiac in the party.

When you want to give someone a taste of what an SF restaurant should feel like, this is the place to bring them. The dishes have a fresh, clean preparation, the service was superb, wine prices reasonable, and the floor to ceiling windows led way to great city views. I would dine at this restaurant again and again.

Waiter very helpful, burger was great according to my husband. I had the squid salad, which was nice but small. Shoe string fires were great. Good cocktails too.

Can't say enough about how great the food was here today and the excellent wine list. I had the Bandol Rose along with Caesar salad and a fancy mushroom pizza. Very pleasant on a hot day in SF to sit by a open window and to watch all the people on the street. I would highly recommend a stop here... More

Believe all that has been written about their famous roast chicken. It was done simply & it was done well. The roast chicken sat on a bed of greens & bread salad, allowing the bread salad to capture & benifit from its oozing juices. The oysters were also excellent. Special mention to the cocktail bar below.
