I absolutely LOVE this place! The food is great and the portions are quite large. It is a cute little cafe style restaurant right by Haight and Ashbury. The menu ranges from healthy to indulgent to breakfast to lunch. I visit this place every time I'm in the city. Can't say enough good things about this place. Give it a... More

We made it there for dinner on our last night, but I'd love to go back and try their breakfast. Food options were healthy, restaurant was bright and cheerful and staff were friendly. Really enjoyed this on Haight.

My wife and I had breakfast here. We were extremely pleased that we did. Given a nice day, be sure to have your meal in the Garden area. Staff was great and food was exceptional. The best cup of coffee I've ever had (strong).

My teens and I were in for a day trip to explore all what San Fran had to offer. I chose this restaurant based on the positive reviews of TripAdvisor. My son had the challah french toast, I had an omelet and my daughter had the strawberry nutella crepes. Boy, we sure had fun sampling from each other's plates because... More

We went here based on TA reviews and were not disappointed. Burgers were homemade and delicious. The chips were the best I have ever had. Kids portions were enormous. Good draft beer and friendly service at this no frills restaurant/cafe. Would highly recommend.

This place is simple, but the food is BRILLIANT, service is friendly, the value is excellent t. I have been eating at this particular Squat and Gobble for nearly 20 years, on my annual visits to San Francisco. The ambience has changed, as the place has been progressively smartened up, but it is still a really special place for me.... More

We had a great experience at the Squat and Gobble. The food was good and the price point felt just right. For dinner on M-Th they offer a free kids meal for every adult meal purchased. Would highly recommend to families visiting SF.

We visited the Haight & Ashbury location our first morning in San Francisco since it is near my daughter's house. Parking was a bit challenging , there was a short line and the seating area was too snug, but the food was fab-u-lous. The breakfasts are huge and delicious with many local products used which we love. We ended up... More

We saw this restaurant on our return bus journey back to our hotel. Do try, it is great fun. Simple menu, with something for everyone. Good value, great service.

It is quite noisy outside, with cars going past, and there are probably too many selections on the menu, but the food is good and the staff are friendly
