Food was great, however the external seating area stank of urine

The food was ok not as good as previous visit. But acceptable. The only down side was the patio area outside was very smelly. Plus the whole process of having to order / collect your food as your name is called out meant the 4 of us had our meals at diff times. Great for a casual lunch or breaky... read more

A lovely spot off the Castro for people watching and brunch. Food was great with excellent service. Open earlier than neighbouring brunch places.

The menu is really huge with a lot of choices. It varies with different style (pastas, asian wok, sandwiches, burgers, crepes....). All we tested was very good. The price is really reasonable and the service is friendly. Good experience.

Amazing little cafe with a hidden backyard. The food is amazing and the service is quick and friendly. Definitely a must visit in the marina.

Not too bad for a local cafe. Friendly staff and reasonable selection of menu items that won't break the bank. Best part - as you order at the counter there is no need to go through the usual routine of forking out the expected 18% tip no matter what level of service was received.

Nice little place on Chestnut. Food was good. We liked the outdoor patio in the back. Our order was lost, but a couple of free beers and good staff attitude more than made up for the wait. We would visit again.

This was not our first visit here and it will not be our last. We sat outside in the back area as it was hot all day. The staff were really nice and the food was good. As in the past there were tv in the back so we could watch sports while we waited. We will deffinately eat here... More

A simple fare of eggs & black beans served atop a quesadilla with corn tortillas and salsa. Also enjoyed flapjacks and syrup for one in our party. Fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee made the meal.

nice little lunch place with a very friendly staff. Food was great and the open air concept left plenty to look at while we enjoyed our lunch.

Staying in Haight-Ashbury

Neighborhood Profile
Haight-Ashbury
The area surrounding the intersection of Haight and Ashbury streets, “The Haight” still exudes vibes of the 1960s counterculture as a haven for vintage clothes, music, pop posters and body piercing shops. While the Summer of Love ended decades ago, Haight-Ashbury has turned into a melting pot of hippies, hipsters, and professionals. Walking through its streets can still feel like stepping back in time. A must-see neighborhood for most music fans, it’s easy to see why these streets attracted the likes of the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin. You’ll likely be content in The Haight day or night, just be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.
